I love when people keep me talking and actually take an interest in what I have to say. This is why when Harry started asking me questions, I answered wholly and truthfully, and enough to keep him wanting more. His next question though wasn’t one I prepared for. I thought when he revealed to me that he was a huge popstar that it was a big shock, but it wasn’t surprising at the same time. He had the looks and a great personality to be someone loved by so many. He was so easy to get along with and never faltered or broke interest when it came to listening to people talk. Even when our server would kindly interrupt our conversation, he would use manners and smile at the man. It was sweet.

I’m also very used to being half listened to. Because I’m often quiet, people mistake that as a weakness. They take things I say lightly and brush it off, but with Harry, he made me feel like everything I said was important. Like I was important, and it felt good. It usually takes me a while to open up to someone and let them into my world, but it felt so easy to talk to him as we bantered back and forth to each other about our personal lives or even sharing small stories for laughs.

I found that not only was he very witty and clever, but he enjoyed cooking, spending time with his “mum”, shopping, and my favorite of all: sleeping. We had a lot in common and I had never connected with someone so quickly. Since I am very protective of myself and did not want to dare jumping to conclusions since I might not ever see him again, I decided that I would build a friendship with him. Easy right? Not quite. He always managed to make me blush like no other and I was a babbling fool when it came to him. This would definitely be a challenge to uphold but it would hopefully be worth the effort.

But back to the bigger surprise, he asked to come along to the party. I was pretty sure my eyes bugged out of my face. The fact that he still wanted to spend time with me even after I ate like a hungry beast in front of him had me shocked. At first, I wasn’t sure if it’d be a good idea. After all, he is bound to be recognized by sooomebody. He’s one of the biggest stars in the world right now. I then thought of a cool disguise for him and let out a laugh as I pictured him with a fake mustache.

He looked at me skeptically as I composed myself from my laugh. “What is it? Don’t want me to accompany you?” He smirked. Damn him and that smirk.

“No it’s not that at all. It’s a neon themed party that you’re bound to be recognized at. So I pictured you with a mustache disguise and found that you’d look quite foolish!” I giggled again and took a sip of my drink. He tilted his head and closed his eyes into slits at me in pretend annoyance.

“I’ll have you know, I could rock just about anything. From fanny packs, to socks with sandals, and I guarantee, a mustache. So hush.” He playfully ordered. It’s like he was just giving me ammo to make fun of him with.

“Okay, first of all, why in the world would you ever step foot out in a fanny pack while wearing socks with sandals? Do you not want friends, Urkel?” With that, he burst into laughter as he closed his eyes and threw his head back in amusement. We had fits of giggles together and it was making my day better as time went on.

“I’m going with you to this party. No if’s, and’s, or butt’s.”

“It’s okay, I don’t have one anyway.” I chuckled. Gosh that was a horrible one, I need to think on my feet better.

“Sorry love, but I’m afraid you do. Why else would I help you off the floor? There had to be something about you to draw me in and your bum was one of em!” I gasped and smacked his arm.

“You ass!”

“No. Yours.” He cheekily grinned and winked. I was no match for his witty comebacks; he knew I was at a loss for words so he directed the subject away figuring I was embarrassed enough. “Hand me your phone so we can exchange numbers.”
