Continuous Affair

Welcome Back

"Now you're sure you want to go back? It will be your first day not being around Eileen." Severus helped Hermione put on her coat and hat.

"Mum has got her. We'll only be a few hours and She's finally taking a bottle. I'm more than ready to get away from this house." Hermione said leaning down to tie her shoelaces.

"I just want to make sure you're ready."

"I am more than ready. Let's get out of here!" Hermione walked into the living room where Eileen slept soundly in her grandmothers arms.

"We won't be gone too long mum. She'll want to eat when she wakes up so be ready for that."

"You act as if I've never cared for a child before Hermione."

Hermione laughed as she reached for the floo powder that sat on the mantle. "It's been a few years."

Severus and Hermione stepped into the fireplace and gave Mrs granger one last wave goodbye before transporting to Hogwarts. Their feet slammed hard on the dungeon floor and Hermione stepped into the dark bedroom.

"You still haven't made the bed?!"

"Well there's been no need. It's only me."

"But.... you know what, I'm not even going to try."

"Well that's a first."

Hermione playfully hit him in the chest before moving to the desk to stack up the messy parchments. "You think you would have at least tidied up before I came."

"Why? You know how I am." Severus was leaning back on the bed pulling out his thick potions book and flipping to the middle of it. "I'll be here while you get your things."

Hermione simply rolled her eyes and made her way out the door and into the hallway. There was one week left before students went home for the holidays and everyone was excitedly chatting about their plans.

"Professor snape! You're back!" One student yelled from across the corridor.

"Yes and no, I won't be teaching again until after holiday."

"Well please hurry, I can't stand Professor flitwick anymore."

Hermione continued on her way up the staircases and to her classroom. It was empty except for the small wizard scribbling away at the desk humming to himself.

"Filius, good morning."

"Ah Hermione!" He squeaked "lovely to see you my dear! How's Eileen? Severus won't tell me a thing."

"Oh that man, you know how he is. She's doing wonderfully, thank you for asking. How are my classes? Have my students been behaving themselves?"

"Oh as much as usual. I am just finishing grading the last of these essays on summoning, but then the rest are all yours. Are you sure you're ready to get back to work?"

"I'm more than ready sir!"

Hermione laughed and went into the office which was exactly how she had left it. She appreciated that Filius respected her space and used an empty classroom for his short time teaching.

She wandered to her bookshelf and pulled out several textbooks. She placed them loudly on the desk while moving quickly to grab some feathers and a stack of parchment. She carried her stack back down the Long corridors and staircases to the dungeon where she found Severus in the exact same place she had left him, except he was on a different page. She slammed down the books and papers on a small table before going to stand at Severus' side.

"You do have essays to grade darling. Why don't you do those?"  Hermione said brushing a strand of hair out of his eyes.

He replied with a quiet grunt.

"Come on dear, we don't have very much peace and quiet. We need to get as much done as we can."

Severus sighed and closed his book and set it down on the bedside table. "We don't get to be alone very often anymore." He began to trace his finger over her thigh. "So I could think of a lot better things we could be doing right now than grading papers."

Hermione chuckled as she gently took his hand. "We won't have any time at home. Eileen consumes every moment."

Severus stood and looked down at her with hungry eyes causing Hermione to shudder a little. "I feel a lot better asking your mother to watch her while we grade than to watch her while we do what were about to do."

He bent down and pressed his lips against her neck. She could feel his hot breath making her weak as she melted into him. "I hate how you can do this to me."

Severus turned her around and laid her down on the bed. "Just relax darling." He kissed her hard and fumbled at the buttons of her robes. "Welcome back to Hogwarts"

She laughed loudly before returning his kiss and wrapping her hands around his neck.

I'm horrible. I'm so sorry that I haven't written in... forever. But at least I got another chapter done?
So I recently discovered that mrs grangers name is Monica so I'll be using that in future chapters.
I say this every time, but I'll try harder to write more often.... if I don't, you can all shun me for eternity.
