Chapter 9: Joining the team

It's been a week after me and dick have started dating and I already know that I love him. I know it's really early in the relationship but I do love him. Summer vacation started and that means I get ta hang out with him, and sometimes Wally. Oh and did I tell you that he told me he is kid flash. At first I didn't believe it then he ran all around the house and all most gave me a heart attack.

Right now me, Wally, and dickie are on the couch watching Riverdale.
"Jughead is so hot" I say with a giggle while watching the show then I turn to see dick raising an eyebrow at me and I blush.

After 3 episodes of non stop watching I got a little bored. "Hey guys I'm bored" I say as I pause the show. Then Wally and dick gave me a look like they have plan.

"Well you could always be a hero. Join the team babe, your more than qualified and what else do you have to do." Dick says. He's right I don't have anything ta do. All I do is Netflix and online school.

I sigh and give in. "Alright...when are we going" "well we have to run it by Bruce and let him do his magic." Wally says too excitedly. I nod in response. "Ima go try to get some sleep." I say as dick gives me a weird look.

" try is the key word dickie. Goodnight guys." I scream from the top of the stairs. The only reason I was actually trying ta sleep is because ever since I got with dick the nightmares have gotten better. Plus I need sleep for tomorrow.

------------------------------------------------------- I woke up and dick was in a chair that's in front ma bed. "Morin' dickie" I say with a yawn. "Good morning babe, are you ready for today?" He asked. I felt like I wasn't but I didn't want to seem nervous so I lied and nodded.

"Well I'm gonna let you change. Me and Bruce will be waiting in the batcave." I nod again and stood up as he got out of my room. I've been workin' on ma suit when I started training and it looks pretty good to me but it's also revealing.

I got changed put on a mask then I went ta the bat cave. When I got there robin didn't stop staring so I thought something was wrong.
"Did I make it wrong? Why are you staring at me?" I ask robin. "Nothings wrong, you just look so good." He says with a smirk. I giggle and make sure I have everything.

When we arrive to the zeta tube I get excited ta meet my teammates but I will have ta conceal my accent like I was with joker. I head inside the zeta tube and hear 'fate' being called by a voice.

I look in front of me and there were my teammates. I smile at them as they introduce themselves. "Hi, I'm kid flash" Wally says. I give him a smile to act like I don't know him.

"Hi everyone my name is fate. Nice to meet you." I say concealing my accent as best as I can. "Hi I'm miss. Martian" I wave to her.
"Hey, I'm super boy" I smile at him.
"Hey I'm F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M." I say hi back and wave. "Hello, I'm kaldur'ahm but please call me Aqualad or kaldur." I say hello. "Hi I'm Artemis" I smile and say "hi Artemis ". "Hey, I'm supergirl" she says with a friendly smile. I return a smile and wave.

"Hey I'm hawk boy" I wave as a woman approaches me. "Hello I'm black canary and I would like to test you to see what you can do but first a mental assessment." I nod and follow her to a office.

Time skip

The assessment was easy she asked about being tortured by joker and my scars ta see if I was mentally okay and she said I was.

"Now we are going to train to see how you do. Fate. Kid Flash. You two are up." I nod and go two the platform. This is gonna be a piece of cake considering I did this at home with Wally and dick.

"You ready to get your butt kicked kiddo." I say as I stand in perfect position to fight. "Your on." He says with a smirk as he uses his speed ta lunge at me. I do a flip landing perfectly behind him when he turned around I punched him in the face and kicked his stomach with my heel. He falls back a little but regains his balance. He then speeds behind me but back flip landing behind him and knocking his feet from under him. When he falls a voice announces that I won.

I look at the team and there staring at me. I wink at robin and some of the teammates noticed. I look at Wally and offer a hand up.

"Better luck next time kiddo." I say as he smiles at me. We go back to the team but some were still staring.

"What" I ask. "How did you manage to beat KF in heels, have a perfect stance and still do flips and land perfectly." Artemis asked as everyone wanted to know.

"I don't know. I was trained by a member from the league, My mom taught me to do gymnastics and walking in heels is just easy for me." I say. I walk up to robin as everyone else leaves to do there things.

"Hey robin did I look sloppy while fighting?" I ask. "You looked hot especially with that outfit". I blush and hit him on the arm. I know that I will love being on this team. I have everything that I every could have wanted but I'm going to make it my personal mission to take down joker.
