Five Years Later:

I can't believe that I was back. It had been five years since I been in London. The last time I was here, it broke my heart to leave. I thought about the day I left him for a very long time. I tried to get over it all. Something held me back. Well someone. "Mommy, can I get an ice cream?" Ayden asked me. "Sure, sweetie. I'll take you to the park in a little while." I smiled at him. He smiled and I could tell he was excited. He had his father's dimples. It made my heart hurt. He looked like him so much. The curls, the smile, the dimples. It was like a mini me. When I arrived in Los Angeles five years ago, I found out I was pregnant. I was scared and alone. I was pregnant with a baby boy whose father was in another country. Thankfully, I made friends where I worked and did some research on doctors and when Ayden was born, daycares. I worked until I went on maternity leave, and when I had Ayden I was overjoyed. He was the most beautiful baby I ever saw. I fell in love with him instantly. It was hard to be a single mother. It was even harder to not tell Marcel. When I left to America, the calls and texts were endless. He texted me once everyday for five months. I never responded. Then they stopped. I felt so guilty that I didn't tell him about his son. I knew that if he didn't hate me then, he would now. I often wondered what Marcel was up to. Was he still at Modest? Did he meet someone else? Was he married? I couldn't help but have all of those questions run through my head as we landed in London. Ayden and I were currently waiting for our luggage. "Mommy! Ice cream!" He exclaimed as I saw our luggage come. "Ayden, you have to be patient." I told him as I grabbed our suitcases. He pouted and I couldn't help but laugh. I grabbed his hand as we made our way out. We had to stay in a hotel for a week until we could move into our new flat. When we got to the hotel room, he started to jump on the bed. "Ayden! Do you want your ice cream or not?" I asked him. "Yes!" He exclaimed and I laughed. I picked him up and we made our way to my favorite ice cream shop in London. On the way there, I pointed out all of the places to Ayden that I used to go. It brought back all of these memories. Once we got to the ice cream parlor, I got two vanilla cones. I knew he was going to get himself messy. I grabbed a few napkins before we went to the park. "Wanna see the ducks?" I asked him. He nodded and I brought him over to the pond. I was too busy paying attention to Ayden, that I didn't notice him. (Y/n)?" I heard someone say. I froze. It was him. I turned around and saw him. He looked the same, but older. He still had those curls. "Marcel." I whispered. He looked at me, then his eyes landed on Ayden.
