I was very excited to go out to dinner with Liam and his wife, Ellen. He told me nice things about her so I was glad to finally meet her. I told Marcel about the plans and he was happy to go out also. We left Ayden with a babysitter because I sure as hell didn't want to leave him with Harry. Harry told us he was going out with a friend. Apparently he used to live here in London, but moved back to Holmes Chapel where he and Marcel are from. "Are you okay?" Marcel asked me as I was fixing my hair. I nodded, "Yeah." I haven't exactly talked to him about what has been bothering me. I just didn't know how to bring it up. "Are you sure? You've been distant today." He came near me and placed a hand on my waist. "I'm fine." I lied. I smiled at him so he could believe me. He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. We got dressed and headed to an Italian restaurant that Liam told us about. We were a little late, so Liam and Ellen were there before us. Ellen seemed like Liam's perfect match. The way they were made me jealous for some reason. I could see how infatuated he was with her. It made me happy that one of my closest friends found their soulmate. "It's nice to finally meet you." Ellen told me as we all sat down. "It's nice to meet you too." I replied. We made small talk throughout dinner. Mostly surrounding work and then the topic moved to Ayden. I showed Ellen some pictures and she fell in love with him instantly. I showed her one that I took of my mom holding him after he was born. "I bet he is spoiled by his grandparents." She smiled. "Yeah by mine." I answered. Marcel looked at me weird, "Why'd you say it like that?" "Just what I meant. My parents spoil him. Yours don't even know he exist." I blurted out. Everyone at the table was silent. "That's because I just found out." He said. I knew he was going to throw that in my face. "Marcel, this isn't the time." I told him. He rolled his eyes, "You brought it up." I couldn't believe this was happening right now. "Because it's like you are ashamed of us! Your family has no clue. You've known for a while now." I said. "I'll tell her when I am ready." He muttered. "Whatever Marcel." I got up from the table. I didn't want to be near him right now. "Are you running again?" Marcel asked sarcastically. "Yeah, it's what I do best." I told him before I left the restaurant.
