A/N Like I told you this one's going to be longer then part 1. This story has a few different scenes in it, a small romance moment, Drill work, and a mystery. This is also where Deeks reveals a secret to Kensi that you might've been wondering about since part 1. Enjoy!

Deeks had left for work early so he might have sometime to talk to Hetty. As he was heading to her office his phone beeped. He thought about putting it on silent so he could have at least 15 minutes to speak with Hetty before the rest of the team came. But as he checked who it was from, Kensi, he knew better. He opened her message.

Might be a little late 4 work.  ~K

That was it? All he texted back was,

k.  ~D

He hurried to Hetty's office. He opened the door and before he could take two steps in the room Hetty spoke. "Mr. Deeks, I expected you." Creepy. He really didn't know how to start this conversation. "Well I want to talk about the-" "Problem" Hetty interupted. "Yes, the problem. Why can't I tell Kensi, it won't hurt her in any way, and I think she deserves to know. " He waited for Hetty's reply. "Let me ask you a few questions, why do you think that this situation is a problem?" Deeks swallowed for these "questions" and made sure he thought carefully before he replied. "I-I, don't think it's reasonable, I mean it's not a problem problem, but it's a problem for me." He muttered the last part of his sentence. Hetty stared hard on Deeks's face but didn't say anything. Hetty was clearly not going to include the "s" on questions. It was his turn to ask some questions. "Why can't I tell my team now if your going to tell them sooner or later?" That was his biggest question, he had to ask that first. "Mr. Deeks, it doesn't matter where you are, it only matters if your doing your job. And while your here I have some information for you. They want you to leave a little early. They said strictly this Saturday, and remember, you don't have a lot of time to get ready, it's already Monday. Also that while your at Las Vegas your new partner will be waiting for you, her name is Kylie Jeen." Deeks was stunned, he replied with a little edge to his tone. "Who is Kensi going to partner with while i'm gone?" Deeks couldn't help it, he didn't want to leave Kensi. "Don't worry, we'll find someone, but it is nothing you need to worry about. Now, go before the rest get here." Deeks had nothing else to say. He walked out of that room, hoping he could leave his worries behind.

Earlier that morning Kensi had texted Deeks that she might have been a little late. She had woke up this morning and her body went numb, she wasn't able to get up. She didn't know why it did or how it did. She stayed in bed for a little longer and then tried to get up again and she felt completely fine.

Right now she was eating a blueberry pastry, it was her favorite flavor. She gulped down the last sip of milk and got her keys.

As she locked the door to her apartment she heard a phone ring. She twisted the door knob to make sure it was locked then headed to the sound of the ringing. She walked about half a block and then turned a corner. There was a phone on the ground with a navy blue case. It was propped up on a brick so it wasn't just "accidentally left". She walked over to the phone, and picked it up.

She realized that it wasnt a call or a text, it was a note alarm.

Come alone at 12:00 p.m. tonight in the underground tunnels  -JDC

JDC? Where has she heard that? she asked herself. She bent down and took out her phone. She took a picture of the message, she wanted to have not only the evidence of the phone but a picture too. She grabbed the phone and headed back to her car.
