That good moment to tell Sage didn’t come until their one month anniversary. He was taking her out for the special occasion. He had it all planned out in his head. He only hoped it would all go well.

I couldn’t believe that Alistar and I had been dating for a whole month. The time had gone by so fast. He was taking me out, for the occasion. I was really excited, I had no idea what he had planned but knowing Alistar it was something amazing.

He picked me up that night and started driving to the unknown destination. The route was familiar and it wasn’t long before I realized where we were going.

“The playground?” I questioned, raising an eyebrow as he turned into the parking lot.

“Yep,” he said curtly shutting off the car and reaching into the back seat for something. He pulled out a picnic basket.

“Really?” I questioned. “A picnic at the playground?”

“Yep,” he said getting out of the car. He grabbed my hand. “Come on.”

We sat down at the top of the playground equipment on top of the slide. Alistar started pulling stuff from out of the picnic basket. It all looked really delicious.

“It looks good,” I told him smiling.

“Only the best for our one month anniversary,” he replied handing me a soda. The meal was as good as it looked.

The next thing I know we’re joking around and Alistar won’t stop tickling me.

“Stop it,” I laughed trying to pry his hands off of me. He smiled and shook his head.

“Ali..star..” I finally wiggled out of his grip and quickly made a break for it sliding down the slide. He followed right behind. I stumbled, landing on my butt at the end of the slide. I quickly pulled myself up and started to run away from him. He was right on my heel and before I knew it he grabbed me from behind. We tumbled to the grass with him on top of me. He looked down into my eyes and I couldn’t help but be captivated by those familiar brown eyes. Slowly he leaned down and his lips captured mine in a sweet kiss. My eyes closed and my hands came to run through his hair.

Eventually he pulled away and our eyes met again.

“I love you,” he said to me. As I look into his eyes, I know I feel the same.

“I love you too.” Our lips met again with all the passion behind our words. We just said I love you for the first time. It’s only been a month but I can’t imagine not having Alistar in my life. This pass month has been amazing.

Nothing could ruin the night until Alistar turned to me with a serious look on his face and said, “I have to tell you something.”

This can’t be good. What could he possibly want to tell me?

“Now you have to hear me out and not freak out,” Alistar rambled, “I don’t want you to think differently of me because of this...but Sasha said I should tell you and I think she’s right. I figured now would be a good time.”

What could this possibly be about? Sasha knew but she didn’t tell me and he seems to insecure about what he’s going to tell me. I was so nervous about what he was going to tell me.

Alistar started with, “S I used to have blond hair.”

I crinkled my forehead. Is that what he’s so upset about? I didn’t understand. “Yeah I know. Is that the bad part? Because I don’t care that you had blonde hair, hell, I don’t care if you want to dye your hair back to being blonde; I’d still love you.” I said looking into his eye then add, “If you can pull off pink hair I think you’d look hot with blonde hair.”
