_Chapter 3_

The coffee stained jacket girl drummed her fingers against the wooden table top.An uneasy feeling was lurking in the deep dark lonely pits of her stomach.She could not put her finger on the factor that made her feel that way.

The annoying music that was being broadcasted in the shop made her go crazy.As mush as she wanted to escape this hell hole,an invisible force held her there,as if something bad was about to happen.

The same ringtone rang once again.There was a slight buzz in her pockets.

"i'm not falling for this time again.',she thought.She looked at the cashier and vice versa.Other than two,the store was deserted.

"Your phone!!!"the cashier said as she pointed her finger towards the coffee stained jacket girl.

She clumsily took her phone out and dashed out of the shop,nearly tripping in the process.

"What took you so long to pick up!!"Captain Lee barked through the speaker.

There was no way in hell she was going to let the captain know about the phone incident that occured just now.Being branded as the clown at her old department was already embarrassing,and if her new colleagues ever found out about it she would be the laughing stock at the new department.

"I was taking a nap."she lied.

"Well,get your ass here now!!"The line went dead after the beep.

"Yes,sir."A groan escaped her lips."Well,so much for a environment."she though.

With no transport,all she could was to walk.

The streets were quiet and most of the street lights were not working.

A bright silver light appeared right a head of her.In a blink,of an eye,she was drenched from head to toe.The roar of the car engine could be heard as it slowly faded away.

"Oh....come on!!!!"
