_Chapter 6_

Taylor sat on the edge of her bed as her mind wondered back to last night's events.

Taylor was walking around the crime scene, searching for clues. After taking numerous photos, she went to look for the captain. Finally spotting him, she made her way towards him.

As she got closer, she could sense the captain's fear and anxiety. Her suspicion towards to captain increased too.

Why was he standing alone in the woods, so far from the crime scene?

From her distance, she could see that the captain was stating into the darkness but he was terrified. She squinted her eyes, trying her best to get a glimpse of what the captain was so afraid of, but all she could see was trees and more trees. Nothing out of the ordinary.

She raised her hand and gently touched Captain Lee's shoulder. He jumped once her hand made contact.

"Oh! Taylor you scared me." He flashed her a fake smile.

"Let's go back to the scene, yeah?"

Taylor walked beside him, stealing a few glances every now and then at the captain.

His forehead was drenched with beads of cold sweat. Along the walk back, she couldn't help notice that he kept picking his fingers.

Suddenly, a howl made the captain stop dead in his tracks. Taylor could sense his body tensing up.

A sigh escaped from Taylor's mouth as she fell back onto her bed.

After giving it some thought for the past four hours, after wrecking her poor brain for four hours, she still could find out the main source of the captain's fear.

'It's probably nothing.' she told herself. As much as she wanted to ignore it, she just couldn't let it go.

Taylor rolled off the bed and picked her phone up. After securing the line. she dialed the number.

Beep - Beep - Beep.

"Hello

"No time. I need to tell you something important." she trailed off.

"It might affect the case." she continued.

There was a long pause on the other side of the line.

"I'm listening..."
