Imagine the Bat Kids

Imagine the Bat Kids camping.........

"Road trip!" Dick shouted. 

His brothers, who were in the kitchen looked at him. 

"What?" Tim asked, "Since when?" 

Dick crossed his arms, "Since right now.  Bruce has some time off, so we decided it was a good time to get some family bonding time in." 

"Yeah like that went so well last time." Tim added sarcastically. 

"I don't believe that." Damian said, "He never has any time off anymore." 

"Wow, ouch.  Can't you guys just be like a normal family and ask where we are going and what we are doing?" 

Jason rolled his eyes, "Where are we going?"

Dick smiled proudly, "We are going camping."

"Where?" Jason emphasized.

Dick laughed nervously, "We're still working out some of the details." 

"How long are we going to be camping for?" Tim asked. 

"Just the weekend."

Stephanie took a deep breath, smelling the pine trees, "Ah fresh air." 

Tim took a deep breath as well, but started coughing.

"Carefully Timmy," Jason slapped Tim's back, causing him to cough more, "Don't breath too much of it in, you might inhale some bugs."

Dick and Damian stepped out of the vehicle next, followed by Bruce and Alfred. 

"Wow, look at this place." Dick took in the surroundings. 

Damian looked around as well, but was clearly not impressed, "It's just trees Grayson." 

Dick threw his arm around Damian's shoulder, walking him forward towards the woods more. "It's not just trees Damian, it's nature and life." 

Damian scoffed. 

"Damian." Bruce warned. 

Damian rolled his eyes and broke from Dick's grip. 

Dick frowned and watched Damian walk off. 

"Don't worry Dick, he'll come around.  Eventually." Bruce patted Dick before helping Alfred unload their stuff. 

"OK guys, everyone needs to help out with setting the tents up and unloading our stuff.  So if you could all come back over here that would be great." Dick smiled and clasped his hands together. 

Tim smiled nervously and scratched the back of his head, "Dick, we have a slight problem." 

"What is it Tim?" 

"I lost Stephanie." 

Dick stared blankly at Tim, "You lost Stephanie?" 

"Yeah, funny story." Tim began. 

"We've been here for twenty minutes, and you lost somebody." 

Tim looked away from Dick as he explained the story, "I didn't mean to.   She kind of just disappeared.   Like she was there one minute, and wasn't there the next." 

Dick slapped himself in the face, "Tim.  Oh my gosh." He pinched the bridge of his nose, "You-you-you lost Stephanie.  You lost Stephanie?" 

"I didn't mean to."

"Well we searched all day for Stephanie, and we couldn't find her anywhere." Jason frowned.

Damian crossed his arms, "Yeah we wasted a perfectly good day." 

"We didn't waste a perfectly good day." Dick said.

"I'm really sorry guys, I should have kept an eye on her.  I didn't know that she would run off like this." Tim hung his head. 

Dick shook his head, "No, no, no, this isn't your fault Tim, we'll eat dinner, get a good night sleep, then go back out tomorrow." 

Tim and Bruce nodded. 

Alfred, who had stayed behind, was cooking around the fire he had made. 

"What's for dinner Pennyworth?" Damian sat down on the ground beside Alfred. 

"Yeah, I'm starving." Jason sat down next to them. 

Alfred smiled and held up a plate.  

Jason gagged.

Damian moved his face away from the plate and plugged his nose, "Pennyworth, what is that?" 

"Your dinner Master Damian." 

"I'd rather stare." Jason said.

The wind howled through the tents of the Wayne family.   A crash of lightning and the sound of the thunder rolled throughout the land. 

Rain poured on the family. 

"DICK! I SWEAR!" A very angry Jason woke up the rest of his family. "I'M NEVER GOING CAMPING EVERY AGAIN! YOU LEFT THE WINDOW UNZIPPED AND NOW OUR TENT IS FILLED WITH WATER!"

Damian glared at Jason. 

The five stood in the rain while Jason continued to yell about the rain. 

"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP? HUH? MY BLANKET IS NOW A TOWEL!" Jason screamed again. 

Tim looked at Dick and Damian, "Well at least Alfred is dry." 

Bruce nodded, "Yeah, lucky him." 

"ARE YOU GUYS EVEN LISTENING? THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!" Jason collapsed on the ground dramatically, "First the dinner and now this? WHY GOD WHY?"

"Well I'm going to go back to bed." Tim went back to his tent.

Damian nodded, "Me too."

Something pushed against Tim.

"Tim." A voice whispered. 

He startled awake, and stared into blue eyes. 

A unsettling scream rang, once again waking up the rest of the crew. 

"Calm down." Stephanie whispered and covered Tim's mouth. 

Tim jolted up, "Stephanie, you can't just do that." 

"What?" 

"You can't just run away for a day, then come back in the middle of the night.  Besides where did you even go, we looked all day for you?" Tim asked. 

Stephanie's hair was a mess, she was soaked from the rain and mud covered her clothes. 

Tim shook his head, "You know what, I'm too tired for this.   Go to bed and we'll talk in the morning." 

BONUS SCENE

Jason rolled over and muttered to himself, "I am never taking a family bonding vacation again." 

I'm really sorry for this short.  I was really lazy and didn't know what to base it off of because I haven't been camping in like 9 or 10 years.
