Chapter 13

I wake up on the sofa next to Alfie, he is still asleep and I kiss him on the cheek then get up to make breakfast, I have my scan today to find out the gender and I can't wait, I really want a little girl and Alfie really wants a little boy, but I wouldn't mind either way.

We have decided not to tell anyone the gender yet and are going to write it on a piece of paper for Poppy to sort out a gender reveal for the baby shower.

I eat my breakfast and clean up the pots then walk over to Alfie, I tap him on the shoulder and hug him from the back.

"Hi handsome, we have the scan today" I say and kiss him on the temple

"I cant wait to marry you and have our little one beautiful" He says, slowly waking up. I let go and run upstairs to get changed, I pull up my jeans and over my bump and then throw on a comfortable crop top that I can easily lift. I walk downstairs and get into the car, waiting for Alfie

A few minutes later, Alfie gets into the car and I start driving to the doctors, it's only a short car ride as the doctors isn't very far away.

"Poppy is sorting out the baby shower isn't she?" Alfie asks, eager to know the date. I nod my head and park the car outside the doctors.

We get out of the car and walk into the doctors and over to the reception. "Hi I have a baby scan at 11 for Zoë Sugg"

"The doctor is free now so you may go straight in, it's room 9 to your left" The receptionist says with a smile

"Thank you" I walk over to the room holding Alfie's hand, I lie on the bed and the doctor walks in.

"Hi Zoë, it's your gender scan today right? Do you want to know the gender now or keep it a suprise"

"Would it be possible for you to print two scans and write the gender on the back please, we don't want to see that scan either as it is going to be shown to us at our baby shower" I say smiling

"Sure I can do that for you, look away from the screen" the doctor puts the gel on my belly and swipes the machine over it, I can hear the baby's heartbeat so I know everything is okay

"So the baby, is doing really well and I will get the pictures printed and the gender on the back for you, would you like them in an envelope?"

"Yes please, thank you" The doctor walks out of the room to get the scans and the gender.

"I love you so much little one" Alfie says to me as I am wiping the gel off of my stomach.

"I love you too Alf" I say to him, stretching up to him and kissing his nose. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me into an embrace kissing the top of my head. I sit back on the chair and take Alfie's hand in mine. The doctor walks back in with an envelope and hands it to me.

"I have written the gender on the back of the scans, I hope your baby is everything that you had hoped for." The doctor says.

"Thank you so much" I say to him. I get off of the chair and follow Alfie down the corridor. We get into the car and Alfie puts his hand on my stomach.

"I can't wait to have a baby of our own" He says smiling at me.

"Me either. I can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or a girl" I say smiling down at my stomach, Alfie grabs my hand and kisses it.

"Thank you for making me the happiest man on earth, Zo, I love you so much it is unreal" He says smiling at me, brightly.

"I love you Alfie" I say, planting a kiss on his lip

"I love you too" He smiles, kissing me back. We drive back to the house and we are both beaming with happiness, we have everything that we could have ever wanted.

We got back to the house and waked up to the door where someone had left a package. We took it inside and I opened it. Inside there were baby clothes and essentials for babies. On the tag read:

To Zoe and Alfie,
We can't wait to meet your new baby
Tan and Jim xxx

I folded the baby clothes and put them on the counter, seeing all of these baby clothes makes it seem more real to me, our baby is going to fit in those clothes soon and that is the size of the baby that I am going to cradle in my arms and care for for years on end.
