It was the night before I start my new school. Nerves and fear were building up inside but I was also excited. I had a new life ahead of me, things were going to be different. I would make friends with real people and do social things. Maybe I would go to parties and have a best friend. I've read so many novels about friendships, they all made me cry because I don't have one.

I picked up my new school bag and placed all the stationery items inside of it. I glared at myself in the mirror and looked at the wig and contact lenses that I would have to wear, my new clothes were folded up nicely by the end of my bed waiting to be worn. I wanted tomorrow to come more than anything, it felt like I was waiting for an ice age.

It was eleven thirty pm, I couldn't sleep. I usually slept well, although I dream about something different every night. It's strange. I used to write stories about my dreams, every morning I woke up at six am and wrote them down. They all seemed to have some recurring pattern but recently my dreams have become bizarre, they weren't scary but they unnerved me and I didn't know why. It has been the same one for the past week. I start out walking along these fluffy clouds, like candy floss they were tinged pink. I was wearing a yellow dress that cascaded behind me. When I reached the edge of the clouds I could see below, dark blue clouds. There was a figure in red walking on them. Pacing back and forth, it couldn't see me.

I calledout to the figure but when it heard me I woke up.
