My legs didn't move fast enough. How embarrassing. He must think I'm an absolute nut job. I shake my head silently and sigh. I'm never going to find my way around this place. It's too big.

I searched the long halls and came across a door that said, 'staff'. Apprehensively, I knocked on the door. It was more of a tap. I'd doubt a mouse could hear it. The door opened, with a loud creak. Probably due to the age of it. The building itself was probably a few hundred years old.
A small woman with large glasses looked down her nose, her eyes landing on me.

'Can I help?' She stated, rather abruptly.

'Hi, I just joined yesterday. I was looking for this class." I pointed towards the sheet of paper in front of me, she examined it slowly. Like it was some kind of script. With a nod she replied.

'Go to the yellow building around the corner to the left-hand side. You should find it.' She slammed the door shut, which made me jump. Someone was clearly having a bad day. Jesus.

I turned back on my heel and walked away from where I was. Eventually, I see a building, hardly yellow. More of a dirty orange. It was painted in stripes. I picked up my pace and walked into the warm building away from the icy temperatures. The contrast of the two temperatures led me to become increasingly hot. My hands going very pink. I took off my thick coat and revealed a baggy brown woolen jumper.
Each door on every class had a brown rusty number on them. I was looking for twenty-nine. Once I'd found the class I was looking for I opened the door to show a class full of people. None of which I recognised. I was in philosophy. There were a set of around thirty eyes glaring at me in what seemed curiosity. This school was huge. I shuffled to the nearest seat possible and plonked myself down.

There were loud whispers circulating the room. I couldn't quite hear what they were saying. I looked over my shoulder and noticed a raggedy looking boy staring at me. His gaze intensified when he saw me looking. I shied away. I swear this school has not one unattractive person. Everyone was good looking.
My trance was soon whipped back to reality when I had to speak. The teacher examined me, head to toe.

'Would you like to introduce yourself?' She asked. I could feel a hint of impatience in her voice. Not wanting to question her, I stood up. The class had my full attention.

'Um.. ah.. Hi? My name is Georgie. I am almost eighteen. There really isn't much else to say.' I shrugged

Well, that was awkward. The class laughed. Is that a good sign? Who knows.

I sat back down and let the lesson proceed. It was interesting, I really enjoyed philosophy. I was the only one answering the questions and voicing my opinions, maybe I loved it too much. I left the lesson feeling rather satisfied. I was almost ready to leave until I heard a boys voice approaching me from behind.

'You really are something.' He smiled.

'Sorry? Were you speaking to me?' I questioned. His eyes lit up in satisfaction.

'Yes - who else? There's nobody half decent around this school. All the girls are too easy.' He winked and walked off.

Well, that was peculiar. The day went by slowly. The lessons were basic and I couldn't stop thinking about him. It was infuriating me. Afternoon break had started and I decided to search for Phoebe. I was in the large dining hall where I was faced with tables upon tables of people. It was massive. I scanned the room and eventually saw them. I walked through the long hall, people had a habit of staring around here. It made me uncomfortable.
