This Wasn't In The Plan

Chapter 5

MEL'S P.O.V.

It was our second day on the cruise and so far things haven't gone quite right. Carrie and Kyle had broken up, Renee and Chels didn't even come on the cruise and Bec, well Bec is just acting strange.

She got home last night from her date, but the funny thing is she was soaking wet. She walked straight past me once she got in the apartment, gave me a small wave and smile and went straight to her room.

Bec wasn't up yet, and neither was Carrie so I decided to go for a walk around the ship and watch the waves crash up against the sides. We were expected arrive at Airlie Beach soon and I was actually looking forward to stopping off there, I have heard it is super nice and I've always wanted to go.

I walk towards the front of the boat to one of the front balconies to get a better view on where we are headed.

The sun has just risen and it looks so pretty shining down on the water. It makes the water sparkle, it's just beautiful. I smile and think of how amazing this trip could have been if Rick was able to come. Thinking of him brought a tear to my eye, I missed him and right now through all the sadness, I just needed Rick.

"It is beautiful, isn't it?" Someone says and jerks me out of my daydream. I am not too sure how long I was daydreaming for and I am not to sure how long this person had been standing next to me for. I look at the person next to me, he had beautiful blonde hair and was very well built. "Yeah, it's gorgeous!" I reply with a smile. I turn back to watch the water, and I could tell whoever he was, was staring straight at me. I could see his facial expression out of the corner of my eye but I couldn't get a very good look without turning and facing him. He looked like he was trying to figure something out, he looked like deep down he knew who I was, like I had once meant something to him. I have no idea who this bloody guy is, he is creepy me out a little. I decide to just ignore him and continue looking out at the water, I will head back soon.

His whole facial expression soon changes and he gasps. I turn my head to look at him, when I notice it, I notice who this guy is, my whole mood changes. I start to take a few steps backwards. He is Luke, Luke Hemmings, the Luke that ruined my life, the Luke that I trusted with all my heart but all he did was destroy me and everything I had.

"Oh it is lovely to see you again Mel!" He beams as he walks towards me. "I am going to go!" I say quickly as I turn my back towards him and begin to walk away. But I was to slow and I feel his strong hand grip onto my wrist. I tried to yank my arm out of his grip but all that does is make him grip onto me even harder. I can tell my wrist is going to be bruised because of how tight he is holding onto me. "No, Mel stay it is lovely out here! I thought I recognized your face. It took me a little while to process who you were! Mel, I want you back and I am going to do anything to get you back!" He says. "Luke, you had your chance and you ruined, it just like you ruined me and everything I had! You don't have me now, I am not yours and I won't ever be yours again!" I say quickly. "Ha ha ha you are funny, you actually think that! Oh honey you mustn't know what I am capable of!" He says with an evil grin and pulls me into a kiss.

CARRIE'S P.O.V.

I haven't seen Mel all morning and I am starting to worry. I decide to go out and look for her, I heard her leave the apartment a few hours ago but she should've been back by now. I am frantically running around looking for her everywhere and also trying to keep my cool.

I soon turn a corner deciding to head towards the front of the boat knowing that, that is normally where Mel would go, to get away from all the chaos.

I am almost there when I see her, she isn't on her own, in fact she is kissing someone. I notice who the person is. Luke. Mel is pushing against Luke but he has a tight grip on her.

"Luke!" I scream, "Let her go now!" He looks up at me, there Is that smile, that evil smile. I thought Mel was free from him and everything he did to her. He literally ruined her life. She doesn't talk about it and gets all teary and shaking even of the mention of Luke's name. "Never" Luke screams back. I run to get help as I see that Mel can't help herself anymore. She has lost all energy. I need help, now!
