It has been a year since you'd enrolled in one of the few high schools specially made for those who use money as napkins. It has been a whole semester since you'd stepped foot in the most prestigious high school that should only exist in dreams. The rich taste you'd get when you said the school's name should have been enough prove to show it was only meant for the rich, but the school didn't think so.
Just to show you how rich and high class this school was it had to be somewhere up on a hill that looked over a rich neighbourhood that looked over the city with middle-class men and even that wasn't enough justification for them, from the golden gates to the court that was fancier than ones you'd see in mansions and the design that looked better than anything you'd ever seen it wasn't enough. If you were rich enough to step foot in the school you could feel the high class prestigious aura seep into your body, intoxicating your mind.
This school was more to be praised than to be learned, and that was the impression you still have till today. And just like all the other students you walked so much money you could buy a mansion or two with a brand new car just for the heck of it, not that you would, you knew better than that.
Sadly not everyone had the same mindset as you thus making you the odd one out.
Actually that wasn't really the reason, it was more the way you'd presented yourself, as if you were a middle-class. unacceptable.
Bringing your own lunch instead of eating the caviar that costed a whole month of grocery shopping. Luckily you weren't the only one who did that, bringing your own lunch, not boasting about your wealth etc. From this personal hell God did bless you with one thing, actually two things, things being someones.
Nael and Krystal who also are in the same year as you, having the same schedule and being your classmates and friends. And while you only became the odd one out due to your way of thinking, your two friends were the odd ones out most likely thanks to their appearance.
Nael, glistening in piercings and brightly dyed hair with the undercut.
A punk some would say or even seen as the teens with the bad influences who partied and had their daily trips. But Nael never partied nor took some sort of drugs or alcohol, not finding it their cup of tea.No, Nael was that teen who figuratively speaking walked with middle fingers up in the air giving a big fuck you to society and its gender norms while listening to burned CDs on their Disc-man and spoke in poetic sentences as if they were stuck in a Lars von Trier movie and talked about how Hong Sangsoo was such a prestigious director and how Nael one day wanted to be like him.
Truly Nael was an odd one, but no one dared to say something as they know about Nael's family, a family that stood above all of these students and could make them go bankrupt with a simple snap.
Krystal, the bubbly girl with the rainbow coloured neon hair.
Krystal was the complete opposite of both you and Nael, always talking about the latest idol group, upcoming anime or newest comic book.
The bubbly girl had taken full pride in the title as: Otaku and even showed it in the way she dressed. Even though there was a strict rule on the school uniform Krystal always found a way to avoid it and walk around in full on cosplay just for the fun of it.At first it was odd, but after a while you had gotten grown to it, always wondering what the next one would be, sometimes they hid underneath her uniform and it gave her a great sense of pride but she took even more pride in being a Dōjinshi.
She often started to talk about her fictional pairings and even her real ones, speaking of real ones here they come.
Immediately the classroom windows where filled with curious students, it been a year and they still weren't over them.
