Yesterday was a blur, I'm not quite sure why but it is and there is nothing I can do about it. It's just another battle we had to be in, but just slightly different. Our enemies now know where we are, we are in more danger than ever before. We usually encounter them and battle when skipping through dimensions using the technology of our century (shame only so many people can use it since the eulich). I'm guessing that we will have to move bases in hopes to find safety, but that is such a hard thing to find in this awful time. I haven't run any danger myself as my parents sent me here when this mess started so I could have a chance at life.Since then I've lost all communication with my family, I don't even know if they're alive. I wish I could find some way to make sure they're okay; even for a second. Now I spend most of my days hanging out with Rex; mostly helping him cope with the loss of his best friend, Gin. Though it tends to lead me down a rabbit hole of depression there is a moment when I see a glimmer in his eyes that gives me hope that someday he will be better, that I'll be better. But until then, I'll continue to try and ease his pain, no matter how frustrating it is.
A noise had covered my thoughts like a thick blanket of smoke, it was the notifying alert that was used when a person wishes to enter my room. I get up and prepare myself for the tears to come and check the identity BU. To my surprise, it was Rosa. I quickly let her in; knowing that I needed a break from Rex and what better person than my new friend rosa? "Hi, Rosa!" I clamored "what brings you here?" I smiled awaiting a (hopefully) good answer. "I thought that it was awfully nice of you to help me unpack and I was wondering if you would like to come work out with me?"
I didn't even know why I didn't see that coming, she was quiet obviously wearing shorts and an undershirt yet my mind didn't seem to register this in time. I gave myself a mental face palm and replied "sure, just let me change real quick." I closed the door and put on some gym shorts and a workout T-shirt and followed her to the gym. We started out on the treadmills and started up a conversation. "Today was pretty crazy, right?" She chuckled "yeah, especially for you, I bet." Since I was in the bow department of range I never really have to leave any areas of safety we have set up here or any other dimension, but she actually has to be but on the field on her first day. "Yeah but I didn't have to kill anyone, I was helped by one of the men here." She smiled in an appreciative manner "who?" I said dragging out the end of the word to emphasize my interest but ultimately sound annoying. "His name is kafei" She stared at the wall in front of as she ran "oh? You were helped by a commander?!" I exclaimed, more than excited. It's not everyday that someone as important as a commander would spare their battle time to help out someone, especially a rookie! "That's great! Will he be training you?" I ask "yes, apparently that isn't required here?" She chuckled under her breath "no it isn't, all you have to do is kill. Strange, right?" I giggled. Our night went on like that and it was great, I'm glad that we did this, I'm glad I made a new friend.
