Chapter Seven:
It's been nearly a whole week since the whole hospital incident and so far everything seems fine. We have had no trouble with Mark, Madison, Cody or Tobias or the rest of their gang – Mainly because they haven't been in school for the whole week, which is unsurprising regarding that I am finally back at school after two months of being in a coma because of Cody's drunken actions. However, when I say we are all fine, I mean we are all fine except for Amanda; ever since she found out that she lost one of the twins, she's been distancing herself from us, as in she seems to go off into her own little world at times and it takes about ten minutes for her to realise we even said her name.
"Don't you dare!" I hear Roxy threaten from the kitchen as I lay on the sofa reading the latest gossip magazine.
"I dare!" I hear Kieran respond as he runs into the living room disturbing my peace and quiet.
"Do I have to ask what's wrong?" I question as I turn my attention towards him and a DVD that he has in his hand.
"I found a DVD that stars all of you four girls in, last year’s talent show!" He beams as he puts it in the DVD player. "EVERYONE COME AND WATCH THIS!" He shouts as I unsuccessfully attempt to take it off of him.
"Nah ah, we're watching it, anyway what's so bad about it you won didn't you?" He questions as he sits himself down with the remote control in his hand, whilst wearing a smug look. "Besides it might cheer Amanda and Aiden up a bit and Ethan" He adds making me agree with him as everyone begins to enter the living room and take their seats, however Aiden and Amanda are the last to enter as we briefly hear their conversation on the stairs and in my case see as I’m sat opposite the door.
"Aiden, I’m tired" She whimpers into his shoulder as they reach the bottom of the stairs as she wraps her arms around his neck and he wraps his around her waist, tightly.
"Just a few videos Amanda, I promise!" He assures her giving her hand a reassuring squeeze, before guiding her into the living room where I finally take note of how depressed she must feel as she wears one of Aiden's old shirts and his jogging bottoms.
"We ready?" I ask as I settle on the floor in between Kieran's legs, where in result everyone nods their heads and turns their attention to the 50 inch flat screen on the wall as the recording begins to play.
Me, Roxy, Elizabeth and Amanda take to the stage in front of the whole school as well as other people's parents or guardians as we are introduced by the head master before he returns to the judging panel. But then the camera diverts it's attention from us and zooms in on the crowd of students that surround us, although it is quickly focused back on us again as we begin singing "Don’t Let Go" the Little Mix version, however what makes the crowd really excited is when all Kieran, Aiden, Lucas and Ethan join us on stage as a surprise to all of us. Kieran begins to dance with me as I sing my solo, whilst Lucas and Roxy play fight whilst singing. Ethan wraps his arms around Elizabeth's waist as they sway to the timing of the song, then there's Aiden and Amanda who were in the friends with benefits zone at the time, so as he bends down and puts his head in between her legs before steading himself up with Amanda on his shoulders the whole crowd goes wild as on the big screen behind us states the words "These girls are ours forever!" And of course all we girls turn our heads to see what the audience was staring at as we finish our song. But despite the attention being taken away from us a bit, due to the boy's joining in. It was still one of the best nights that I had ever had. But as we're all walking off the stage Lucas takes Roxy by her hand and pulls her in towards him as he plants a kiss on her lips before she quickly deepens it, where as Aiden stays on stage and brings a microphone up towards his lips before speaking in to it "Will Amanda Smith do me the honour of becoming my bad girl?" And of course just as it did a year ago, Amanda runs towards the stage as the spotlight is on her and she jumps into his arms as they deepen their sweet innocent kiss rather quickly.
