Chapter Nine:
It's been almost a whole day since Amanda, Ethan and Roxy were taken and none of us have stopped looking for them. Aiden frantically searches all the streets that they might have gone too, with help from Elizabeth who searches all ally ways within a ten mile radius. Whilst Lucas and I try to track Mark’s licence plate from Aiden’s home computer considering that my own house has now been blown up! But so far the odds aren’t in any of our favour as we still remain oblivious to where they could be.
"Lauren?" Lucas says, distracting me from my thoughts. "Yeah?" I question as I look down towards him. “I think I have found them!" He states, making me drop the glass of water that I once held as one piece in my hand, but now it’s shattered into a million pieces.
"WHAT! REALLY?!" I say pushing him out of the adjustable chair so that I can see for myself the red dot that blinks on the screen. "I've managed to track Roxy's phone on GPS and apparently this is where she is along with the others!" Lucas informs me. "And where about is that?" I ask as I take out my phone to ring Aiden and Elizabeth. "Judging by the map she is at 76 Tyrants street!" Lucas says as I press the dial button, "Hello?" Aiden answers sounding out of breath.
"Aiden! Meet us at 76 Tyrants street now - Lucas thinks he's found them!" I say as I walk out of Aiden’s study.
"We will be there in five minutes!" Aiden says before hanging up the phone.
"COME ON HURRY UP!" I shout at Lucas as I jump into the driver’s seat of my cherry red Ferrari, where practically as soon as Lucas is inside the car I zoom off at 75 miles per hour to our destination, hoping, no praying that they are all safe and sound. "Take the next left!" Lucas instructs from the back seat as he informs me of the directions that I have to take in order to get to them. And within minutes we arrive at the destination. Our school. Where outside Elizabeth and Aiden stand dumbfounded at the destination.
“Any sign of them?“ I question as I walk towards them.
“Nope, but I never knew that our school was this address! “ Elizabeth says as she walks towards me, but instead of carrying on with our conversation I’m distracted by the familiar object in Aiden’s hand. Roxy's phone.
"Lauren, listen to this!" He says as he hands me the phone as Lucas stands next to me so that we can both hear the voice recording "LAUREN! LUCAS! ELIZABETH! WHOEVER THIS IS HELP US! THEY’VE TAKEN US BACK DOWN TOWARDS THE SCHOOL’S OLD FREEZER; THEY CALL IT THEIR HOME BASE! HURRY PLEASE, ETHAN CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE PUNCHES AND AMANDA AS WELL AS MYSELF CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE PHYSICAL ABUSE...." But we don't hear anymore as we hear Cody come in and smash the phone whilst shouting at them "YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T LEARN YOU’RE LESSON! PERHAPS IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER!"
I glance at Elizabeth, Lucas and Aiden who are all exchanging a look with one another, Elizabeth looks full of worry and despair, whilst Lucas looks extremely angry; Aiden, well judging by his eyes, it's pretty obvious that when we find Mark, Tobias and Cody he is going to kill whoever touched Amanda. "The old freezer? I never knew we had an old freezer, but do any of you know where it is?" Aiden asks us all and we all respond with the same answer, "I don't know" And I must admit I have never felt so useless towards my friends more than now, I mean I don't know where they are and when we finally know where they are, we have no clue on how to get there.
“Wait a minute; I know how to get there! Me and Roxy use to go there all the time because it was abandoned! “Lucas suddenly proclaims as he pushes forwards and soundlessly opens the school’s doors, being careful not to give any thing away so that Mark and his friends know that we are here, but before he can fully open the doors I hear my name being called from a distance.
