Chapter Fifteen:

I've been awake now for the past two hours due to constant kicking in my stomach, but when I have the view of a sleeping god next to me, all annoyance is gone. But not even the view of Peter can keep my mind from wondering, I mean I’m practically four months pregnant now and I am not prepared for this baby at all. We've got no crib, no nursery, no pram, no car seat, positively nothing. "What are you thinking about?" Peter whispers in my ear, making me jump causing me to nearly fall out the bed, but his arms are there just in time to catch me and pull me back in towards his naked chest. "Sorry" He sheepishly smiles at me as he allows me to use his arm as a pillow.

"So, what were you thinking about?" He adds. "Peter, what are we going to do?" I ask him as I take a deep frustrated breath. "About what?" He questions looking at me with a raised eyebrow, "EVERYTHING!" I practically shout at him whilst sitting up.

"Whoa! Lauren calm down, what do you mean everything?" He asks concern full in his voice. "We are not prepared for this baby at all Peter, We have nothing for it" I say beginning to cry, making Peter sit up and wrap me in his arms.

"Shh, Lauren we will be fine okay. We will go shopping later on and buy everything that we need" He promises me, making me grin and rest my head on his shoulder. "Okay" I reply as I begin to climb out of bed and tie my black silky dressing gown around my blossoming body, but as I go to walk out the door I hear a frustrated groan escape Peter's lips. "What's the matter with you?" I ask with a chuckle as I stop in the door frame, where as I look back at Kieran laying down on the bed I notice he has his hands covering his face. "Why do you have to tease me like that?" He questions, causing me to burst out laughing as I walk out the room swaying my hips just for his enjoyment. "TEASE!" I hear him shout as I reach the bottom of the stairs, resulting in a satisfied chuckle escaping my lips.

"Morning, I was just making a coffee do you want one?" Elizabeth asks me as I enter the kitchen. "Please" I reply with a smile as I walk over to the fridge and get out my breakfast for the day, which consists of two strawberry yogurts, three bowls of corn flakes and a whole litre of apple juice. "Hungry?" Elizabeth chuckles as she hands me my coffee, "Very" I reply with a mouthful of cornflakes.

"I can tell, but be careful you can get fat!" Elizabeth informs me, to which I give her a pointed look and lean back in my chair and point to my stomach "Think it's too late for that, don't you?" I say laughing. "True" She replies laughing along with me. "How's Ethan?" I ask as our conversation dies down. "I don't know to be honest Lauren" She says, taking a seat opposite me with her hands wrapped around her coffee.

"What do you mean? Talk to me, I’m your councillor" I say with a mouthful of food, which must look rather unattractive. She shakes her head slightly before taking a deep breathe, "Ever since I first met him he has been the only one to make me take my mind of all the horrible things in life, it was like if the world was to end today as long as he was by my side I wouldn't care" She says, locking gazes with me. "But..." I fill in for her, "But, ever since we got him, Amanda and Roxy out of that warehouse, he hasn't been my Ethan!" She says taking a long breath.

"What do you mean?" I ask in confusion, surely he hasn't changed that much and even if he has it's not his fault, he can't control his flashbacks. "I mean he is different and it's not because of the flashbacks, something in him has changed and it is scaring me" She says as tears begin to form in her eyes.

"Lizzy, is there something your not telling me?" I ask fearing the worst. "I think I may be pregnant Lauren" She blurts out, "Surely that's a good thing?" I ask feeling confused about the sad distant look on her face. "Not for me it’s not” She says, placing her face in her hands. "What do you mean?" I question in curiosity. “You saw him yesterday, he went to hit Roxy and he practically ambushed me in a corner – what if he hurts the baby? “ She questions in fear, which as a soon to be mother I can clearly see where she is coming from. "He wouldn‘t" I state feeling completely confident with my answer.
