A Dangerous Game (Bill x Reader x Dipper)

Forgiving a Threat

Dipper held you for awhile, hours maybe. You wanted to hide in his arms forever, but you knew you couldn't.

Mabel slowly and very carefully creaked the door open.

She peeked her head in with a weary smile and stepped inside the room.

In her arms was a small pink bowl with 4 perfectly round scoops of icecream, drizzled with a chocolate syrup.

"I made you My famous ice cream... there's even a plastic dinosaur somewhere In there." She sat next to you and smiled warmly.

You let out an exhausted huff of a laugh and took the bowl. There was at least a million sprinkles in this thing but you didn't care.

"Thanks Mabel."

You slowly ate it, it was edible besides the apparent dinosaur which you had yet to discover.

"I won't let you be alone anymore y/n. I'll stop bill from hurting you!" She embraced me in a tight hug.

You looked at both of them and smiled.

"Im so lucky to have you two, thank you."

"Our pleasure, now get some rest it's been a long day." Dipper said "Mabel could you... be on the couch tonight.."

"Okay!" She happily skipped down the steps

"She can stay up here, I mean I can go on the floor again."

"No... I want you to be safe in a warm bed. She'll be okay."

You smiled and tucked yourself into the covers. Staring up at the dark, blank ceiling.

"Y/n.."

"Yea?"

"I'm sorry.. for overreacting about everything"

You hesitated a bit before answering.

"It's alright Dipper, your here now."

And with that the two of you sank away into sleep. You being surrounded by Mabel's pillows and stuffies, and Dipper in his own bed.

Your eyes gently began to open, through your groggy vision you saw Dipper sitting on his bed, just staring into nothing... no it's probably Bill... he looks angry.

You shut your eyes again, pretending to sleep. Hoping he would go away and never come back.

You heard a defeated sigh and the creaking of bed springs.

"Your afraid of me.."

You didn't answer.

"You won't believe when I tell you but.."

Silence.

"I'm sorry."

Lies.

You just pulled the blankets farther on top of you. Shutting out everything.

"I got out of control."

...

"I hope you find time to forgive me, until then I'll be at the waterfall."

You flinched a little, peeking your eyes out. You saw his face... distraught, sad.. and his eyes were... shiny with tears.

"I won't hurt him." He said as he walked out.

You rotated onto your back and your breath shook.

He was right. You were afraid of him.

The same person who is shocking fear into you also gave you many wonderful memories.

But can you forgive him?

You Layed there for hours, it was close to sunset.

You couldn't leave the situation like this. You had to see him. Clear things up.

If he was still there that is

You ran through the wooded trail, slowing down ever so slightly as you went higher up the mountain trail.

The sound of falling water hit your ears, you were close.

A hoard of butterflies entered your stomach, you slowed to a walk.

Along with the water you heard... humming?

It was faint, but loud enough to hear, even some words were heard.

"Hmm hm hmm"

The words were too quiet to make out but it sounded familiar.

You walked a couple more minutes before peering behind a tree and seeing him.

Sitting calmly at the edge. Humming

He can sing?

Your thoughts were loud apparently because he stopped and turned his head to you.

He turned back to the waterfall sighing.

You slowly approached, placing yourself next to him.

Your feet dangling off the edge.

It was quiet for awhile. Calm.

A bright orange from the setting sun shining.

Your phone dinged, bill flinched but readjusted his gaze forward.

Mabel: where r u? U ok???

Y/n: yeah, just taking some time away. I'll be back soon don't worry.

Mabel: ... K

You put your phone away... that made things a lot more awkward but luckily he broke the everlasting silence.

"Why are you here?"

"...I don't want to be in a battle with you... I'm sorry"

"Don't apologize for me being careless."

You stayed silent again. For a little bit at least

"What song were you singing."

"One about the destruction of your universe."

"Um wow okay" you laughed. Then smiled once you laughed. Things were getting better.. just a little

There was even a tiny smirk on his lips too

Sorry this chapters kinda.. eh. I needed to get something out quick because it's been awhile. Also yes, I know Bill isn't acting like Bill anymore -_- it's hard okay..

P.s I'm starting a new story! Don't worry this one will continue. But along side it will be a Over the Garden Wall fanfic. I just love the show so much lol. Read it when it comes out!
