A fresh star. That was exactly what I needed, to get away from all the bullshit and my unhealthy relationship. I never thought that it would be me. I never thought that I would have to deal with an abusive boyfriend. I tried to leave, trust me. It's just when you've been with someone for so long the good out ways the bad even if the bad is a serious crime, but a month ago was when I had enough. A person can only take so much. No matter how much in love they are. After going through so much I decided Atlanta was were I was headed. I had a few friends there and I felt like it was the best move for me, I had to get away from Baltimore. Like far far away and Atlanta was far far away. Even though I'm going to miss my city I knew it was only right. I had pulled up to my new apartment and smiled.

Here I was. The Uhaul pulled up right behind with one of my closest friends latto in it. She honked the horn

"My bitch is in Atlanta " she screamed extra loud as she got out the car.

"We is finna be nothing but lit now that you here." She said hugging me.

"You know what the fuck going on, but in all seriousness thank you for everything foreal foreal." I say getting serious.

"You know I got you dee, you need me I got you. " she replied hugging me again.

Tears spilled from my eyes as soon as she pulled away. I cried a lot these past two years. "Bitch don't cry, you too cute for that shit. Fuck that nigga foreal. He a whole dub if he think it's okay to put his hands on you. He ain't bout it foreal, if you need me too I'll call one of my niggas and have him gone." She said.

I laughed but I could tell she was serious. "Come on girl let's get this stuff in the house." I said grabbing a box out of the truck. I unlock the door and put the box down.

"Do y'all ladies need any help. " a guy asked as he came up to us. He was a black guy with red hair and freckles. I smile at him just being nice.

"Nah, I think we're okay. " I said taking another box out of the truck as soon as I said that the box slipped out of my hand. Good thing it wasn't no glass in there or I would've been out of luck.

"You sure?" He ask picking it up off the floor.

"I mean I guess." I said handing him another one since he wanted to help so bad.

After about an hour or so we had finished putting the boxes in my new apartment. "Thanks for helping " latto said to the guy as he walked in the with last box.

"Yeah, thank you so much you were a big help." I said. "I didn't get your name." He said. "I'm dee and this is my friend latto.

"I said shaking his hand because we didn't formally meet,latto did the same.

"Nice to meet you both. Hope to see you guys around. " he says before walking out. "Oh you gone see a lot of me." Latto said sticking out her tongue.

I laugh. "You are too much, you better stop for I tell Marco. " I said rolling my eyes.

"Girl whatever ain't nobody stunting him." I look at her in confusion she was crazy about him like foreal. "Y'all good?" I ask concerned.
