Mirja arrived at school. Today would finally be the day. She would finally tell Mariah. She had had these feelings for a long time, and bottling this up would not to any good. She wasn't going to do anything fancy but she had a plan. She would invite the redhead out to the Aquarium (as friends) and after things died down, she would confess she was crushing and would, hopefully, get a date. It was ambitious, but it would be worth it.
But first of all, she had to get through today. Her and Mariah were with each other before school started when Mirja popped a quick question. "If your not doing anything, we could go to the Aquarium where Katherine works. She got me some free tickets, and I would love to spend some time with you. I heard they got a new manta ray." She pushed her long, hair which went down to her waist, out of her face and smiled. Katherine was her older sister. She worked at the local Aquarium and often was able to get Mirja and a friend in for free, or at least a discount. The goods of having a sibling in business. Mariah smiled at her friend (keyword being friend) and nodded, "Sure!" She loved water and was always slightly jealous of Asteroid's swimming talent. She was good, but not as good as he was.
The bell rang, and the two girls hugged before going off to their lessons. Mirja went off with Sin, as they were in the same lesson. It was a good thing that Sin and Eclipse were happy being around her, because Mirja, being a shy person, hated being alone and hated when people asked her questions. Having the other two, that could look after her, made things much less awkward and more comfortable. They were both very protective of her, which may be a result of them both being older, or maybe it was just their natural friendship instincts. Whatever it was, it made Mirja feel happy. As she walked with the taller male, he barely noticed her. She smiled at him, "If anything happened, you can talk to me." She was talking about how he had gone back to his original name. That was something that was more than a little unlike him. He smiled but didn't respond.
Nothing exciting seemed to be happening to anyone. Everything seemed to just happen, without a sign of changing anything. It was not exciting or upsetting or anything. It was just happening. Mirja was a bit of a slacker at school. She didn't pay attention when she could avoid it. However, it was only on the small details. Everything else, she was fine with. She just had a short attention span, that often made it hard for her at school. Broken and Sin were both smart though, so they normally helped her out when she needed it. She wasn't afraid to ask. And today, she felt like she could do anything. Step one of her master plan to get a date with Mariah had already gone amazingly.
Mirja couldn't wait for the bell to free her so she could go to lunch and see Mariah. One of the reasons she was making a move on the redhead, was because her crush was beginning to get a little bit out of hand. And Mariah was a wonderful person in Mirja's eyes. Mariah was confident, determined and strong. She was everything that Mirja wasn't. As she thought about all these thoughts, Mirja sighed and closed her eyes sadly. Then immediately opened them because she was still in a lesson. She needed to keep her attention. Really badly. There was an assignment coming up and guess who was going to end up carrying the entire time? That is right. Mirja. No one else from the group was in her geography, which was what she was currently in. She was so tired though and she could barely hold herself together. The pressures of everything had been heavy of her weak shoulders, and she didn't know how long she would be able to hold onto herself, let alone hold onto those around her. Would it be for the better if she let go of them and moved on?
