Chapter 7: Brittany's Plan

The Chipettes were walking to school that Morning when Brittany started asking Jeanette some very specific Questions. "So did Simon say he was going to try out for another performance?" Jeanette was confused on why Brittany was asking this but she answered anyways, "he's not really sure..he doesn't know if he'll get the part. There's a lot of competition." What Jeanette was talking about was an upcoming play Almost Identical to the previous one. Just with different characters and a different story. Simon was going to audition in a few days. "Oh I'm sure he'll get the part.." Brittany said with a smirk on her face as she winked at Eleanor, whom she told about her plan. "Oh and Jeanette..doesn't the play he's trying out for have a kissing scene?" Jeanette wasn't completely sure so she just shrugged, "I couldn't tell you. But I told Simon that if there is one that I'd help him with it. That is if he gets the part." Eleanor and Brittany looked at each other, "Help him with it?" Eleanor giggled , "you mean like a kissing partner?" Jeanette was embarrassed now.. "N-no not necessarily...maybe though..I don't know..I made it sound  like I know a lot about it..but I don't." Brittany put her hand on Jeanette's shoulder, "I'm sure he'll do fine and you'll do fine helping him. And he's totally gonna get the part." As soon as she said this they arrived at school. The chipmunks were already there, sitting on the steps. "Hi Girls!" All three of them called out, "Hey Guys!", Brittany and Eleanor called in reply. Jeanette however, didn't say anything she just smiled and waved. But the whole time she mostly stared at Simon. Just as she opened her mouth to try and say hi, the bell rung and all six chipmunks had to go to their classes. They were all split up now. Brittany was the Principal's assistant and had to go to her office.

A Few Hours Later..
The day had mostly passed and soon they could go home. Brittany was about to grab her stuff to leave until she remembered her plan. She walked up to the Principal to ask a favor. "Umm excuse me..", Brittany began politely, "could I ask a big favor?" The principal put down what she was working on, "what would that be?" Brittany spoke again, "So you uhh know the Play that's coming up? I was wondering if you could cast Simon as the male lead." The principal thought for a moment, "I'm not sure Brittany, there are other boys who are also interested, I can't just pick one without having them audition." Brittany looked down and Sighed before regaining her courage and saying, "Please, it's really important to him. And to Jeanette.." The Principal looked confused, "why is it so important to Jeanette?" Brittany gulped, Jeanette told her to keep it a secret but if She wanted to help her Sister she had to tell someone.. So regaining her courage once more, Brittany told the principal everything there was to tell, every little detail was left out and by time she had finished the principal was able to give a short summary to anyone. "Poor Jeanette..", The older woman sighed, "okay Brittany we can work something out.." A smile formed in Brittany's face. A smile also formed on the Principals.

The next day..

"I got the part guy! I got it!", Simon cheered with delight. "Wow congrats for getting a role in that nerd play." Alvin teased. "Alvinnn!!" Simon groaned, "not now please."
"Hey Si! I was only joking!" Alvin spoke  remotely "I'm proud of ya!"  Theodore spoke up after Alvin, "I already called the Chipettes and told them, they're on there way here." Minutes later the girls arrived really happy for Simon. Brittany specifically lit up when she saw Jeanette smile. Jeanette hadn't smiled for days. "Oh and Simon..uhh there's one thing we didn't go over.." Brittany began, "there's a kissing scene.." Brittany winked at the other chipmunks except for Jeanette as she said this. Simon was disappointed when he found out about the Kiss science he had to do again.. "I really don't wanna do that..I've never even kissed a girl.." Jeanette saw her opportunity and took it. "I could help you Simon!" Jeanette bursted out with a smile. "Yeah!! I'd love that!" Simon replied, "I-i mean thanks Jeanette..."
The two nerds smiled at each other as their siblings just stared. The Chipettes went back to their Treehouse, Simon learned some of his lines, and Jeanette tried to learn about the beauty of kissing.
