I was sat at the counter in the kitchen doing my math homework when I saw Zack walked in.

"Whatcha doing there?"

"Just some homework..." I shrugged and he nodded opening the refrigerator.

I tried to go back to my work but I became distracted watched him pour himself a drink. "Anything interesting?"

He looked right at me, I snapped out of it and shook my head. "Nah just math..."

"I hate Math with a passion." I was about to reply to his comment when I heard Alex shout. "Beth! There's someone at the door!"

"Get it then asshole you've got legs!" I shouted over my shoulder and then turned back to Zack who was just smiling. "What?"

"Nothin'... Just you two... Do you think you guys will ever get on?"

"Yeah... when pigs fly..." He just laughed and shook his head smiling. "Beth it's Denis!"

"As in the kid from across the road?"

I nodded at Zack, "Yeah he's teaching me how to play guitar."

"What?! Why didn't you ask me?"

Oh... I don't know... cos I have a crush on you and Alex would mock me for asking you to teach me.

"Dunno." I shrugged and his face dropped. "How very dare you? I am offended."

"Sorry bro." I just shrugged again and got off the seat. We both walked out together and I was greeted by Denis stood there with a guitar case.

"If he flops. You know where I am." Zack whispered to me and I just nodded. Slightly dying inside.

Damn you Merrick!

He left, leaving just me and Denis.

"Hey."

"Hey er... thanks for coming over..."

"No problem... so where do you wanna..." he gestured to his case.

"Er... Just upstairs..."

"Don't do anything I wouldn't!" I heard Jack shout and I rolled my eyes.

I looked at Denis. "Ignore him."

He just nodded and we just headed upstairs.

I walked in my room first and he followed suit.

"Okay, first of all-"

"So do you wanna-"

We both spoke at the same time and looked each other. "You first."

"No you first." I insisted. "When were you gonna tell me about your brother?"

"What about him?"

"Alex Gaskath from All Time Low."

"Oh... that..."

He's a fan why didn't I see that coming? 

"I didn't know you knew them."

"Are you kidding? They're awesome!"

Well that's debatable.

"Why thank you Denis." I groaned when I heard Alex's voice.

Like does he have some some kind of radar? Every time someone mentions his name he appears.

And why can't I have five minutes to myself?
