The next morning I got up and did my usual routine, until it got stopped by a certain someone taking too long in the bathroom.

"Hurry up asshole!" I started knocking on the door constantly to try and piss him off.

"You can't hurry perfection bitch!" He shouted back.

"Perfection? Oh please." I scoffed, causing the door to open.

He was stood there with a towel wrapped around his waist. "I'm pretty perfect thanks." And then closed he door again.

I hate him so much.

Then I heard the shower start running and I groaned, "Are you only just getting in the shower?!"

"Yes!"

"Oh my God! What have you been doing for the past 20 minutes then?" I stopped, and then decided to retract that.

"Actually don't answer that..."

Eventually I gave up waiting and went into my room to get dressed.

I mean... Who cares if I go school un showered? I'm not trying to impress anyone.

Oh... the sarcasm...

I rooted through my wardrobe and find the first half decent thing I come across and throw it on. Not really caring by this point whether I look presentable or not.

My phone buzzed on the side and I picked it up.

Lizzie: Me and drew are outside x

Ok. Be there in a sec x

I sent it, put my phone in my pocket, grabbed my bag and left.

When I got outside Lizzie and Drew were sat on the doorstep.

"Wassup bitches?!" I shouted and they both looked up at me. Drew stood up first. "Finally!"

"Shut up." I nudged him and he nudged me back. This caused Lizzie to get up and stand between us. "Okay guys let's not start a rumble."

Me and Drew just looked at each other and smiled

Then I realised we were a female down.

"Hey er... Where's Ash?"

"Oh. She weren't feeling too good, so she's taking the day off." Lizzie told me and I just nodded, glancing over the road to see Denis coming out of his house.

I wasn't the only one. Lizzie had clocked him too. "Oh my God is that Denis?"

"Yeah."

"He lives facing?"

"Yeah."

"Why didn't you tell us?" I just shrugged, it didn't really cross my mind to tell them.

"That's vital info you're withholding Gaskarth." I just rolled my eyes in response.

"Hey! Denis?" Drew shouted over, which made him see us and come over.

"So you two are neighbours then?" Drew gestured between us. "Yeah seems so." He looked at me and smiled.

Which made look away slightly embarrassed, and my stomach do back flips.

For fuck sake... I met this guy yesterday and I'm going gooey.

"She also saved my dog from being ran over."

"Wow, really?" I just nodded in response.

"Get you." Drew nudged me and I just shrugged.

You know just pretty much jumped in front of a car to save a dog. No big deal.

The morning came round pretty fast, and before I knew it, it was lunch time.

"I've always wanted to play guitar."

"Get Alex to teach you." Drew smirked and I threw two fries at him. "Never gonna happen."

"How about Zack?" Lizzie nudged me and I didn't say anything. "Ooh.. you're blushing.."

"Shut up." I muttered and she just smirked. "Who's Zack and Alex?"

"Alex is Beth's brother and Zack's his friend." Drew tells him. "Oh okay and if you wanna learn guitar I could teach you."

"You play guitar?"

"Yeah. Played it for a couple years."

"There we go then..." Drew points and nods at him "Denis can teach you."

"I mean... only if you want me to."

"Sure...why not?" I shrug nonchalantly. "Sweet. Just let me know when and yeah... I'll teach you some basics."

"Ok-"

"How about tonight? You're not doing anything tonight Beth are you?"

Shut the fuck up Lizzie.

My mouth made an O shape and I looked back at Denis. "Er...no... I'm-I'm not."

"There we go then."

I want to slap her SO HARD right now.

"Tonight it is then."

"Yeah...great." When Denis wasn't looking I glared at Lizzie and she just smiled.

Drew was finding it amusing also, so I kicked them both under the table.

"Ow!" They both shouted at the same time, which made Denis look at them confused.

I just smiled innocently.
