Book 1: Reflection Chapter 1: The story begins pt.1

Yoo Jeongyeon and her best friend Im Nayeon was walking side by side to school when a few men approach them.

A few hours ago

A girl with short brown hair got out of bed. 18 year old Yoo Jeongyeon was just an average girl who was just trying to get a good career. She have 2 older sisters and loving parents. The girl didn't care about what was going on in the news because she knew she wasn't a bender, so she wouldn't get hurt at all.

Jeongyeon got up and went into the shower before changing into her uniform. The girl walked down the stairs to see her bestfriend, Air bunny waiting for her.

"Hey!"

"Hi." The girl greeted her before grabbing an granola bar and saying bye to her family before walking out with Nayeon.

"Your family is so nice."

"I know, are you okay?" Nayeon looked down.

"I guess so..." A few days ago her dad was attacked by the anonymous group that is trying to make benders go extinct. The fact that he's one of the last air benders left alive makes it worst. I took a bite of my granola bar.

"Don't worry about it, b-"

"How can I not worry about it. Nobody can help us, the avatar have gone missing for the last eighteen years and they taken over. One day... they going to get him and k-" I grabbed Nayeon and pulled her into a hug.

"Nothing is going to happen to your father, You will all be fine and I know he can handle himself."

"Thank you, you always know what to say." I let go of Nayeon and continued walking. I offered the raven a piece and she bit off a piece.

"Why do you always have to bite off a piece instead of ripping it."

"I do that because I know it will irritate you." I sighed and finished my granola bar before asking.

"How did they even figure out?"

"When he got attacked my mom said that he form an air cloud or shield around both of them to protect her. So they found out..."

I hesitated for a moment.

"Are you an air bender too?" Nayeon snorted. "No, my powers would've came out a long time ago if I was, I guess I got no powers."

"Oh...."

Now

We were about to reach the gates of the school then these group of men approach us.

"Are you Im Nayeon?" One of them asks. One guy looked at me and I looked away quickly.

"What's it to you?" Nayeon asks.

"We are apart of city council and we have been sent here to see if you have any bending abilities, So if you can please come with us." One man grabbed Nayeon arm and I grabbed the other to prevent them from dragging her.

"No! You are not dragging her anywhere. Nayeon isn't a bender."

"It's true, I'm not a bender!"

"We need proof, and you Missy need to mind your business."

"She is apart of my business, now let go of her!" I yelled. One of the men grabbed me and flip me to the ground, I groaned in pain.

"Jeongyeon!!"

A huge gust of wind went in my direction and I could feel the grip on my hand disappear. Nayeon ran over to me and helped me up and I looked around to see some of the men on the ground.
