B1: Reflection Chapter 3: Councilman's Daughter pt.1

I walked back into the building just to see some of the men still talking to my father before they pointed at me and head in my direction.

"Jeongyeon these men from city council would like to talk to you." My father said as we went back into the kitchen to sit and talk.

"So you know where the Im family is? You were the last person who was in the cell with them."

"No, I do not know wher-" I got cut off by a guy.

"We got to leave, The city council president's daughter went missing." The men got up and left.

The next day I came downstairs to see Nayeon and the rest of my family watching TV.

"They still haven't find Park's daughter, I'm afraid they got her."

"Is she even a bender?" I asked as I ate my breakfast.

"We don't know, I know president park is a earth bender but I'm not sure about the daughter. She's around your age, maybe a little bit younger." My dad say. I looked at the TV to show a picture of a young girl.

"It has been reported that 17 year old Jisoo Park went missing yesterday after going on a field trip with her class."

"She's a year younger than me, does she even goes to our school."

"No, she goes to a private school."

"Oh." I looked at the time grabbed Nayeon's hand and walked out the door.

"We gotta go! Bye!" I yelled as me and air bunny started to walk to school.

"So...what do you think about the Councilman's daughter going missing."

"Why do you care? We have nothing to do with it."

"That's harsh, even for you Jeongyeon." I sighed as Nayeon started to walk up, I caught up to the girl and grabbed her by her shoulders.

"I didn't mean it like that, but it's none of our business." The raven only stared at me and looked down before continuing to walk.

"I just don't want the governor to feel bad or anything because there's a chance he won't find her. Do you know how scared I was and who knows how scared my mom was. Even you, I'm pretty sure Park felt the same way you did." The raven replied after a while.

I couldn't find words to say, I knew she was right and she knew it too. The raven slightly smiled as we arrived.

People looked at both of us, specifically Nayeon in shock because they all thought she was dead. Some of the students asked her if she were okay and some if the teachers talked to her after class.

Mr.Wong in particular didn't smile when he saw Nayeon back in class and that didn't went unnoticed by Nayeon and Jeongyeon but Mr.Wong isn't the type to smile so they let it slide.

Both girls were sitting at a table when Jeongyeon notice that the lady in the trench coat wasn't there, but there was a note by the table the brunette picked up the note and went back to Nayeon before reading it.

"This is weird." I mumbled and Nayeon quickly grabbed the note from my hand.

"Jeongyeon there's nothing on this paper, do you need your glasses again?"

"I have my soft lenses in..."

"And you still can't see that there's nothing on the paper." I sighed and grabbed the paper one more time. I swear there was some words on it. I turned on my flashlight on my phone and Nayeon gasped.

"What?"

"It says check the last check given by the lady for a message."

"I don't think we have that."

"We can try and search." Nayeon said as we both head into the office and check on the checks since my mom tend to be very organized so she may have put it in other.

"Check other."

"I think I found it."

"We don't even know her name."

"This one literally says Trench coat lady."

"Oh." I grabbed the check and looked on it and found nothing. Nayeon then flashed a flashlight on it and I saw words written on it.

"Invisible ink." Nayeon muttered.

I looked at the paper and read it.

Who ever is reading it right now, please help me. I am the council man Park's daughter Jisoo and I have noticed for the past week that these men are following me. After hearing that a girl from your school is an air bender I decided to visit this restaurant everyday to see if I could get help from the air bender before it's too late.

I looked at Nayeon and we check the other checks. It had writings about her finding out she was an earth bender ten years ago and going into hiding for a few years.

"I think we should help her."

"No, we should report it."

"Jeongyeon! The police haven't done anything within the last 18 years why would they do something now, just for the Councilman's daughter. They could've save all of those benders but they didn't, I say that we help her."

"She's the Councilman's daughter of course the cops would do something!"

"They probably will cover it up and say that she's dead, they did it before!"

"The things I do for you bunny, the things I do." I sighed. The raven hugged me and kissed me on the cheek again.

"Why do you keep doing this." I complain as I wiped my cheek.

"You know you like it."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do."

"No I don't!"

"Anyways we'll make up a plan after school tomorrow and then Sat and Sunday we try to find her and bring her back." Nayeon says as she got up and leave.

"So...you and Nayeon." Soojin says.

"Shut up, you know it's not like that." My sister only laughed before walking away.

After school me and Nayeon bought some food and went into our old treehouse to plan it.

"We don't even know where they got her, How will we find her."

"They will be where alot of benders are, and I notice that there were a few benders nearby the old arena were they had probending."

"How do you know they are benders."

"They told me." I looked at Nayeon in disbelief.

"Fine, I spied on them and saw them using their powers."

"How? You're always loud when it comes to stealth."

"No I'm not."

"When we did the stealth game you always made our team lose, thats why nobody wanted to partner with you because you laugh too much."

"That's a lie."

"Even when we had a lockdown drill nobody wanted to sit next to you, that's why I put tape on your mouth that one time."

"Anyways! I saw a suspicious non bender went into the room a couple of times before walking out and he had an earpiece in, so I think we have to wait until that place get attack then follow them and then we can find Jisoo and return her back to Councilman Park."

"Ok..." I doubt it will work, but I didn't want to argue with bunny again so I decided not to say anything.

"Do you still know how to fight?"

"Yeah."

"Okay good, wear black tomorrow and meet me at the restaurant by 4pm sharp." I nodded.

"See you tomorrow." I waved to Nayeon before heading back home and getting ready for bed. I couldn't believe we were actually going to go through with the plan. I still have to think of an excuse for why I'm going to be out so late, but for right now, it time for me to relax and go to bed because I'm going to be very busy tomorrow.
