Episode 12: The Worst Night

There has been many, many people killed in Britain in both world wars.

There was in total of 213 attack in the UK in World War II. One of them, was on Thesang.

There were many scars on all. Some injured, some shell shocked, some dead...

This is the story of what happen that night and the consequences in the aftermath...

September 13th 1943

The morning was bright, light and almost cheery.

More telegrams had arrived a week ago, Anderson had a week off, for that he had been too scared from pulling the injured soldiers to the hospital.

Instead, a relife engine took his work. Renel's branch was busier, and the engines were very dirty.

"All this work is making by wheels fall off," said Javilling.

"I agree," sulked Crystel, "we need more engines."

"Well I have a definate for my branch," said Renel crossly, "my boiler will burst."

"Just be grateful that we've been worked off than not being worked at all," said Ashfull sternly, "besides, some of us have to recover."

Nobody said no more.

An LNER N2 was ready to pull a train to King's Cross station. But as he headed out, he heard noices.

"What's that?" he asked his driver.

His driver looked up at the sky. His eyes widen and he sped up the N2 all the way to King's Cross.

Christen was shunting some trucks into the key.

"Hurry up Christen!" jeered a truck, "we haven't got all night!"

"Shh," replied Christen, "what if the Germans here you."

"Huh," said another, "why do you think Germans would come hear?"

"Hospital, German camp and many other things related to the war."

"Still, not tonight."

"Wait. What's that noice?"

"Well that sound likes a plane," said his driver as they headed towards the station.

"Not a plane," said the fireman, "planes...from Germany."

A loud whistling sound came and the siren went of people in the town rush about, screaming and trying to get to the bunkers. Suddenly....

BANG!!!

Christen jumped as houses got blown up.

"Bust my buffers!" he screeched, "we must get the water tanks!"

Just then, as they headed towards the siding. Javiling was waiting at the signal.

"What are you doing?" asked Christen.

"The planes will try to get to the main towns and Camford, if I won't warn them before they get there it'll be too late!" shouted Javiling. Then the signal changed and Javiling skided off.

"Good luck," whispered Christen as he rush to the fires.

Javiling pounded along the line, he had warn the LMS engines on the branch lines and now he was heading towards Oxworth.
