All of the branchlines were now complete and the LMS had now rented them so now a LMS Fowler and a LMS 3F were now running the Truds line and one Caleb's brothers was running the Piplin line. One day, Javilling came into Carrag looking fustrated.
"What's wrong Javilling?" asked Christen.
"It's that John," replied Javilling crossly, "he's still on about my first days here, honestly I think the NE should get another Jinty to take his place."
"Hmm, I understand," said Christen and told Javilling about what happen when John first arrive and made insults about him to Ashfull. In the end Christen got the last laugh.
"Huh," said Javilling, "it serves him right. But seriously, he shouldn't of learn't his lesson by now?"
"I think so too," said Christen, "but simular to you, he's that sort of engine." And he puffed away.
The next morning, the engines awoke to see The Old Director sitting on a wooden chair near the sheds.
"Is waiting for all of us to wake up?' asked Caleb to Crystel.
"Looks like it," replied Crystel.
"Ah your all awake," said The Old Director a few minutes later.
"What is it sir?" asked Renel.
"Well there was an attack on London last night and that night was when Germans were suppose to not attack from the information from the spies," said The Old Director.
"What do you mean sir?" asked Anderson.
"I mean Anderson that the spies gave the information two days ago at a meeting in Truds. So we have German spies hear and English men working for them too."
The engines look at each other in shock as The Old Director walk away.
"Surely," said Ashfull, "this could mean higher risk of defeat for us."
"Yes I think so," said Renel. Meanwhile Javilling was looking closely at John.
"Your wheeshing more steam then usual," he said, John just stare at him.
"Just worry about the future," he said.
"We all our," said Anderson.
For the next few days, nervous engines were thinking about what would happen next, would they be defeated by Hitler or would they him.
One night, a few days later after The Old Director inform them about the attack in London. Three men were near the T.G.C.C, with a van.
"Alles klar, dann hast du es dann?" asked one.
"Ja, mache ich," said the second,
"Konnte nicht alles bekommen.""Das ist gut, solange wir etwas Schießpulver sind, können wir den Krieg ein für allemal gewinnen," said the first, "hay Jami, ya ready?"
"Sure I am," he said and waited for the men loading some crates into the van.
"Hey Edmund, gibt es irgendwelche Treibstofftanker in Nithsdale Hof, sollten wir ... blasen es oben?" asked the second.
"Ich mag deinen denkenden Kumpel. Aber lasst uns vorsichtig sein, wir wollen nicht gesehen werden," said the first, "wer jus' goin' to blow something up Jami, okay?"
"Alright," said Jamie, "We'll wait for ya." The van said nothing.
The two men then sneak into Nithsdale yard. Nithsdale yard only had a few sidings, not much at all but there were fuel tankers in one of them.
"Du hast die Spiele?" said Edmund.
"Ja," said the other one.
"Hey! What are you doing over there!"
"Lauf!" said Edmund, as they started running back to the van with five workmen on there tail.
"Jami, go go go!" said Edmund and with the screech of the tires they speeded out of the hiding spot and on to the main road.
"Coal the police," said one workmen as they speeded to a nearby house, "we've got Germans on the run."
The van zoom down the road but then they men heard the sounds of a siren.
"Go faster!" cried Edmund, "thar gaining on us!"
"This how fast I can make it go!" said the van.
Soon they'll have to cross the railway line to get to a bridge so they can cross the River Ark.
But the gates were close. The van had no choice but to smash into the gates but as they were crossing.
"Look out!" whistled Ashfull but it was too late. Ashfull hit the corner of the van cousing it to spin out and hit the wall. Ashfull soon came to a stop looking back in shock. Soon the police arrive and arrested the men who couldn't get out since they were stuck between one of Ashfull's vans and the wall. The men were arrested and were taken to court. Ashfull still felt guilty.
"Never mind," said Anderson, "it could of been worse."
Then Javilling came fuming. "These stupid trucks," he exclaimed, "why can't they come quietly."
The trucks laugh and laugh. Suddenly, the trucks were bash into each so hard, that they came off the rails.
