Twenty Four

Kate's parents p.o.v

"I miss my Kate! I really miss her. She has gone for so long. Andrew please do something, my little princess is facing so many problems alone." Sally cried.

"Come on Sally! She's a brave girl and she is not alone, she is with Sofi. I know my sister, she'll surely take good care of her! Don't you worry." Andrew comforted Sally.

"Do you think Sofi is in a condition to take care of our daughter? She's not well these days and we very well know it."

"Darlin' don't worry. Everything will be fine soon. We just need to support our Kate!"

"Hmm, may you are right." Sally sighed.

Mr.Linton (head investigator of the case) p.o.v

"I never expected this! How can I lose? How?"

"Sir as the case has been closed so shall I keep the file back in the locker?" Officer said.

"Just go away!"

Kate's p.o.v

It was 08:00 .a.m. when I woke. The first thought why don't I write now? Or I don't like writing now? Or I don't have enough time to do so?

"Sweetheart? Are you up?" Aunt Sofi said.

"Ya Aunt, come inside!" She brought breakfast for me. She seemed so happy, so at peace, and I wondered how anybody around me could feel that way when liquid fire was raging inside me, when fear was mingling with hope and clutching itself around my ankles. But that was good that she is really very happy today.

"What happened? Why you so happy today, anything special? James birthday?"

"Haha no, actually I've to tell you something really very important." Aunt said and I got curious.

"Okay. Tell me?"

"When I turned on the television I saw him." Aunt got upset.

"Who? That man?" I said.

"Yes! I saw Linton and you know what he told the media that he has been the one who took the case in his hands but unfortunately he failed. The case has been closed now and we are safe."

"That's extremely a wonderful news Aunt!" I cheered. She hugged me.

"Why don't we go out now?" I asked.

"Sure but don't forget to invite Jack to come along! Okay?" Aunt teased.

"Oh come on Aunt!"

"I'm serious, do call him!" Aunt ordered.

"Haha, okay. I will definitely invite him." And we laughed. As Aunt went to change I called Jack.

"Hey Jack!"

"Hello pretty you!"

"Haha, you are invited Jack."

"Oh really? Where?" Jack asked.

"Will send you a message as soon we decide, okay?"

"Umm, sure. Love you. Bye!"

"Okay bye!" I said.

"Who is going to reply?" Jack asked.

"What?"

"I mean don't you love me? Come on! Say it!"

I got confused and just for now I said, "Haha no no, nothing like that and love you too! Happy?"

"Yeah, happy. See you soon."

"Bye! Take care." I quickly changed and wore a beautiful yellow dress which Aunt bought for me few weeks before. I went to Aunt and asked her that where should we go as she lives here and knows which place is best for us! When we were done with the discussion thing, I messaged Jack and informed him. And when we came back, I thought to write in my diary.

March, 2017
Today, me and Aunt planned to go out for lunch. She forced me to invite Jack. JACK? Haha, he's Hazel's boyfriend. I think how my life just changed. It's been days since I've been working with Jack and just being very honest I really like him. I enjoy being with him. I don't know what will happen next but I'll try my best to do everything in my power to make things better. I guess I will not write anymore in this diary because I will not have enough time after few days as I'm going in Hazel's royal life, in her luxurious house, will live with her parents and will try doing all those things which she did! Most importantly being an actress will be very tough for me but I am sure I will manage it!

I will miss you my better half, my sweet and loveliest friend, my best friend, my diary. I love you, bye!
