Chapter 8

Your POV

Jack looked at me, and I looked right back. I saw confusion and worry in his ocean blue eyes.

"Is that.... true Jack?" I asked.

He only looked at me for a moment. "It is."

I didn't know what to do. Before I could say anything to him, I was falling off Michael's shoulders. "Oh shit!" I yelled before I fell into the water.

I spat water out when I resurfaced, Jack laughing at me. I smiled when the idea hit me.

I went over to Felix and Jack and grabbed Jack's hands. He looked shocked by this, but even more shocked when I pulled him forwards off Felix's shoulders and into the pool.

Everyone, including me, started laughing. Once Jack got to the surface, he laughed too. He went back underwater and came up underneath me, making me sit on his shoulders.

Hailey then climbed onto Max's shoulders and grabbed a pool noodle. I grabbed one too.

Mark climbed back onto Ken's shoulders and Felix climbed onto Michael's. They each grabbed a pool noodle and started hitting each other.

I kept hitting Max instead of Hailey to throw them off. Max let go of Hailey, making her fall backwards. Max grabbed the pool noodle I was holding and pulled it away from me.

Instead of me falling forwards, Jack grabbed my arms and held me up. Max hit Jack on the head, but Jack wasn't going down without a fight. With one hand, he grabbed a pool noodle and smacked Max in the face with it.

Mark and Felix joined us in hitting Max and eventually Max gave up. I took the noodle back and quickly hit Mark as hard as possible, knocking him off Ken's shoulders again. I hit Felix, knocking him down as well.

"We have dominance!" I yelled, high fiving Jack.

"Not for long!" Mark said, pulling me backwards.

I splashed him. "Bitch!" I yelled jokingly.

"So I'm the bitch if you knocked me over first?" Mark asked.

"Rude." I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Wait- where the hell are my glasses?" Mark asked.

Everyone laughed. I had stolen them from him when he fell over.

"No seriously guys, I can't find them!" Mark yelled.

"That's because they're not lost." Jack hinted.

"What?" Mark was confused.

"Maybe someone has them..." I hinted, waving his glasses in front of him.

"Wow, (Y/n). Just wow." Mark said, snatching his glasses from me and putting them back on.

After we all got out of the pool, we wrapped ourselves in towels. While he wasn't looking, I snatched Jack's glasses and put them on.

He didn't see them on my face, and asked "Where are my glasses now?"

"That's adorable. I think your girlfriend has them, Jack." Felix said.

Jack looked at me and we both smiled. He walked up to me and took his glasses off my face and put them on. He looked into my eyes and I looked right back.

At that moment, Jack kissed me.
