Kalyn
"dumb kyler," I thought as I walked farther and father away from our little.....argument. I started picking up more wood for the dumb fire wood for my dumb brother who forced me to go with stupid Kyler.
"Why did I even come along any ways," I said aloud.
"I mean my life wasen't great before but it was not like this," I looked up to the skies as I heard a very odd sounding bird. It was oddly familiar somehow.
"It's just a bird,"
I continued walking for quite sometime. I was trying to blow off steam, and the calmer the I became, the more anxious I would become. A feeling of dread was slowly knotting my stomach up, and my hands started to shake. My footsteps became faster until I was almost running towards the camp.
"why do I want to get out of these dumb woods so bad," I thought.
"slow down you'll kill yourself!" I screamed at my body, but it was as if my legs had a mind of their own, telling the calves and my thighs to work in perfect unison to run away from the woods.
I arrived at the camp about ten minutes later. My forehead and under arm was soaked with sweat, and my legs and face were scraped up from running into branches.
"hello!" I screamed. "Is everyone okay,"" No voice answered my question, and it was left hanging there, above the tents. I threw the wood next to the fire and started looking into the tents. I knocked down Jacob's, and trashed Miranda in my reckless search for a human body. I screamed after I crawled out of Kyler's tent, and started pacing.
There was nothing else I really could do.
"where did Jacob and Miranda say they were going?" I said aloud.
"was it water, or no, they were getting more fire wood, oh wait or were they hunting, no I saw their bows may-," A twig snapped to my left.
I whipped my head around and saw a deer staring at me. I stood as still as possible. We both stood there for awhile, just inspecting each other to see if the thing opposite of us was a danger. After about ten minutes of just standing , I shooed the animal away, and got back to my worrying.
"Maybe I should go looking for them!"" The idea was great for only about two seconds until I realized that there were most likely bears out in these woods. I sat down and felt tears sting at my eyes.
"what if all of my friends are dead," Small beads of salty water started to roll down my cheeks and land on my lips.
"I don't want to be alone forever!" The small sniffing that started had now evolved into un-controllable sobbing.
"I guess I could go back and tell them that Jacob and Miranda forced me to go! Yeah! That they-um, they threatened me!!! That will work! Now I can pack up my stuff and get the hell out of here!!!" The words tasted bland in my mouth. I wiped the tears off my face and walked over to my tent. Once I got there, I started throwing everything out so I could start getting my things ready to go back to my warm soft bed. I started folding my pants and my shirts and I starting thinking once again.
"but what if they are really alive," I said as I stuffed another one of my clothing pieces into my bag.
"They would be enraged with my un-rational behavior," I grinned a little, smiling at my logical method of thinking.
"What if they decide to kill me!" I started folding and stuffing faster.
"I'll have to warn the police the moment I get back that Miranda and Jacob are violent and prone to murderous behavior," I smiled once more.
"But what if they go searching for them because they don't want any deaths," I paused for a moment. "and what if I do really get them killed," I flopped my self down on the nearby log and continued my analyzing of the problem I was now faced with.
"But, what if Kyler was mad at me, and I stayed and she killed me because I left her, and what if Jacob and Miranda let her,"
"Yeah I am leaving," I finished packing and started heading north, back home.
