Betty and Veronica, Meant to be

3 weeks later

They were known as B&V, united best friend, adjoined at the hip. They knew almost everything about each other, Betty's sister Polly was staying at the lodge's. 

It was late one night about 10:30 at night before school on a Monday night when Veronica heard her phone ring for the 3rd time, veronica answered her phone and instantly shot up in her bed, she could hear the rain outside and Betty taking deep shallow breaths, and sobbing.

"Betty what's wrong?" Veronica asked concern painted in her voice.

"I..I..I-" Betty sobbed, Veronica hung up the phone and dashed to wake up her mom.

"Mom wake up, we need to go find Betty!" Veronica yelled at her mom so loud Polly heard her, Polly sat up and got changed and was sitting on the couch by the time Hermione Lodge and Veronica were out in the living room.

"I'm coming to find my sister." Polly stated in fear that Betty may be off her medicine. 

"Fine let's go, we need to fine Betty." Veronica said while running out the door, they hoped in Hermione's car and drove around for 2 hours when Veronica caught sight of Betty's backpack laying on the side walk.

"Mom stop for a minute." Veronica said and hoped out of the car along with Polly, Veronica took a couple steps into the woods and saw blonde hair hiding behind a tree. 

"Betty is that you? Betty?" Polly yelled as Veronica turned the tree to see Betty in a ball her body shaking with sobs. Veronica Rapped her arms around Betty and Picked her up. Veronica dropped her in the car  she noticed the blood around Betty's hands. Polly instantly covered Betty's hands in hopes Veronica didn't notice.

"Why does she do that? She digs her nails into her hand." Veronica asked Polly while pulling Polly's hands of of Betty.

"It's not my place to say Veronica she needs to tell you when she's ready." Polly said when petty started to loosen from a ball and she muttered "Polly my pills it's been since this morning" Betty whispered out. Polly took a deep breathe in and mumble 'oh god' veronica look concerned.

"Let me out of the car," Polly said, Hermione pulled over and let her out of the car. Polly paced a bit and got back in the car. A few minutes later they pulled up to the Pembroke with a calmer Betty that was still shaking but not sobbing, Veronica saw that emptiness in her eyes again. veronica was scared not of Betty but for Betty. By the time they got back up to Veronica's apartment Betty was completely calm and quite.

"Betty dear, What happened?" Hermione Lodge asked very concerned

"My mom got really mad at me, she slapped me across the face told me I was a psychotic freak that wasn't part of her family. She took my pills into her room and shoved me down the stairs and said I need to get out." Betty explained starring at the wall in front of her with tears rushing down her face, Veronica hugged her and Betty melted into her embrace.

"Betty you need those pills, you tried to kill yourself the last time you went more then 24 hours without them." Polly said serious and concerned. Veronica looked up in shock, the emptiness that she saw in Betty's eyes that was the darkness that makes Betty grip her palm so hard blood is drawn. Veronica lead Betty to her room. As Betty laid down on Veronica's bed she whispered "I Love you Veronica." Veronica heard, she was in shock she hopped around to the other side of her bed and placed a kiss on Betty's lips.

Betty's Pov:

I felt Veronica's soft lips touch mine and all of sudden every bad thought flowing threw my mind was gone I was focused on her. I kissed back the first thing I had done on my own in almost 4 hours. She pulled back.

"Betty..i..i'm.. sorry-" Veronica started but turned to walk out of the room. I bolted up and got in the way of Veronica exit.

"Veronica please don't leave me not tonight, I don't trust myself to not try and.. and...a" I broke down in tears again mumbling  about being useless and meaningless and Veronica Hugged me and I calmed down and pecked her on the lips.
