I was taking a nap in the afternoon, but was awoken when I heard a soft voice ask something that I couldn't quite understand. I opened my eyes, and saw Mika standing over me in the alley. My eyes widened in surprise. "What the hell do you want?" I muttered. "Well. . . I just. . . They're doing a firework show later tonight, so I was just wondering if you wanted to go see it with me." She said, blushing. "Wouldn't you rather see them with your idiot boyfriend?" I growled, pulling the hood of my hoodie over my head. She shook her head. "No. He did end up being kind of a jerk, so I came to ask you."

"Well, I'm saying no. So go away." I said, standing up and getting ready to walk away. She grabbed my hood and dragged me back to her. She shoved me into the wall. "What the hell?" I yelled, extremely annoyed and agitated. "Please come with me." She pleaded. "Will you leave me the hell alone if I do?" I asked. She nodded. "Yeah, but only if you stay the whole time." I sighed and crossed my arms. "Fine, whatever. What time?"

"Um. . . In like 10 minutes." She said. I realized I'd slept for longer than I meant to, and it was already dark. "Shit." I mumbled under my breath. "Where?" She hesitated for a minute. "I think a few blocks from here, so we should probably start walking there if we want to make it." I scoffed. "Alright, lead the way then." I said. She led the way and I followed to a park, where tons of others were already gathered, waiting for the fireworks. We sat down a few feet away from the rest of the crowd, and I made sure to keep a good distance from Mika altogether. After a few minutes of waiting in silence, the fireworks were shot up into the air. Mika was startled, and grabbed my arm in fear. "Get the fuck off of me." I snarled, shaking her off of my arm. All I felt was rage and hatred towards her now. Either that, or I just made it seem that way to hide the truth. I couldn't tell anymore. I was sick of emotion. All it did was fuck people up. The firework show lasted for about an hour, and when it was over, I pickpocketed some people as they were leaving, managing to get the rest of what I needed for a hotel room. I checked into a room, and immediately took a shower. I dried off, but didn't get dressed. I wrapped the towel around my waist and used the washer and dryer they had openly available there to clean the only outfit I had; a white t-shirt, black zip-up hoodie, and baggy blue jeans, which had been ripped, unintentionally in multiple places, especially the knees. As soon as I got my outfit out of the dryer, I took it back to my room and quickly got dressed, then laying on the bed, over the blankets, falling asleep in only a matter of seconds.
