I felt myself hit the water, an aching pain spreading through me from the impact. But I didn't die. Coughing and spluttering, I climbed out of the icy river and lay on the grass beside it, shaking. Grim teleported and nudged me, checking to see if I was alright. Sitting up and patting his head, I could only think of what Trayaurus was going to get when I got back. Taking off my heavy, nearly wrecked armour, I struggled to walk. The fight had really affected me. Occasionally leaning on Grim for support, I blundered back to the lab.

After nearly ten minutes of continuous falling, I weakly punched the button and fell through the doorway. But Trayaurus had already escaped, aware of what I could do to him. I was surprised that I hadn't fired him already, with the amount of pranks he's played on me. But he's great, when you get to know him. Shivering from the cold, I hauled open the chest that he kept underneath the counter. Three melons and fifteen emeralds. Where did he get the gems from? Frowning, I took the melon slices and ate them. It was better than nothing.

Wherever Trayaurus had scampered off to, he better get back soon. It was getting dark and villagers, even pranking, scientific ones, couldn't risk the zombies. Biting my lip and ignoring the grunts of 'Bort' in the testing chamber, I took a bed and settled in the examination room. It was hard to ignore a gigantic, mutant zombie who had nearly killed you watching from the window, but sleep soon overtook me.

*DREAMLAND BC TIME LORD*

I couldn't run anymore. My sides felt like they were splitting on half, but somehow I pushed on. Trying to outrun the unseen foe behind me. But he was catching up, I could feel the dust he was kicking up reach me and slap my neck, as if to say 'You Will Not Survive'. The sign I had read before I entered the temple, as a dare to prove how brave I was. Look at me now.

I tripped on a vine underneath me, twisting my ankle. I tried to get back up, but the vine wrapped around me, holding me in place. I could only watch as the vines formed a figure, the demon I had been running from stepped out, and stared at me with his sun-like eyes. Then he moved suddenly, and a warm but yet cold sensation blossomed from my stomach. Looking down, I saw the hilt of a sword and a dark crimson liquid run down it.

Then the pain and realisation hit me. I screamed, my life slowly draining away. But he still stared at me, with the same cold look. But this time, he wore a smirk. My vision faded, and I found myself flying, looking down on a boy, not that old, with vibrant green headphones, a white shirt, purple trainers and brown bangs covering his right eye. Suddenly, the man in pursuit spoke, in a harsh, gravelly voice:

"DEAD-lox, hmm?"

*BACK TO REAL LIFE*

I sprang awake, panting, trying to decipher what had just happened.
