I stumbled away from Ali's 'Secret Spot', considering how to confront Amy. It could go two ways, she would accept to make me proud, or she would get upset that her idol is telling her off, and make me feel guilty... I wish people weren't this confusing. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice the fallen log in front of me, and tripped. I heard an oof and landed next to someone.

"Hey! Does losing your arm make you blind too?!"

Rita laughed, helping me up. Her face turned to a sudden serious look, and I could only assume that I was in for a scolding.

"What are you doing, wandering through the forest in this state? What if a zombie attacked, or a skeleton, or a creeper, or-"

"I'm fine. I was following Ali, she seemed really upset."

She turned, walking back towards camp. I followed.

"Yeah, Amy was pretty CRAZY," More mad waving of arms. "today. She isn't usually like that... But we keep her, she's a good shot with a bow and a great swordsman. Or lady. Whatever goes in that sentence."

We finally reached the tents, and I relaxed slightly. I didn't realise how tense I was in the forest. I should really listen to my instincts more, especially given the situation. I nearly tripped over Rita again, when she stopped suddenly.

"What is i-"

She told me to be quiet, and as I scanned the camp I saw a cloaked figure peeking into each tent, obviously searching for something. The person stepped out of Rita's tent, carrying what appeared to be a green sword.

"Damn it, she's got Cutter! No-one takes Cutter!"

Rita ran towards the mystery person, leaping on their back. She swung herself sideways, throwing the person to the ground. Stealing the blade and placing it against the figure's neck, she shouted her obsession again.

"NO-ONE TAKES CUTTER, OK?!"

Darn, she liked this sword. I caught up to the group, now including Amy, and listened to their barrage of questions.

"Why are you here?"

"What were you looking for?"

"NO-ONE!"

"Who sent you?"

"Are there more of you?"

"CUTTER!"

I seemed to ask the only logical question there.

"Who are you?"

The girls froze, realising that they had missed out the most obvious question. The thief pushed away the blade and stood up, throwing back her hood. She had raven-black hair in a neat ponytail curving over her shoulder, golden eyes that had many mysteries within, and pale skin.

"I am Aura, the mage. I was searching for a magical item that was stolen from me many weeks ago, and the whispers of the wind told me it was here. I simply wish for it back, and no-one will be hurt."

Aura's eyes stared deeply into each of us, as if looking into our souls.

"And before you scream that deafening question again, I was simply borrowing your sword in case I was threatened. Which you successfully defeated me at. Although I have my magic to protect me, I don't want to waste it on mere travellers."

I heard Rita mutter 'But my sword...', before she straightened up, ready to defend her home.

"Well, you have the wrong place. We don't steal from anyone, especially creepy magic people with weird powers and things."

I internally facepalmed. Great going, Rita. The mage will like that... Aura hid her anger and continued in a calm manner.

"Oh no, my information is correct. My item is somewhere in this compound, and one of you have it. So, if you don't mind, I am going to continue searching unless one of you gives it to me."

She waited for someone to react, then turned around.

"No? Alright then. Suit yourself."

We all froze as the camp went up in flames, everything we owned burning and exploding in front of us.

"Oh, don't worry. It's flame resistant!"

Her evil laughs echoed through the roar of the uncontrollable blaze, the evening sky glowing red with the bloody flames.
