"Oh! Sorry, I didn't see you there." She chuckled. Mario looked into her deep, blue eyes as she helped him pick up his books that had fallen to the ground.
"It's alright," Mario responded. "So, uh, what's your name?" He smoothly asked, His curly red hair swiftly tossed back.
"Indigo. You?" Indigo tucked her very dark navy hair behind her ear. He replied,
"Mario." They shook hands. Indigo's dark hands were so soft.
"We should hang out some time." Indigo commented. Mario smiled.
"Sure."5 Y E A R S L A T E R
"Mario, dear, I have some news for you." Indigo excitedly squealed to her husband.
"What it is, dear?" Mario took his pale hands into hers.
"I'm pregnant!" A tear slipped down each of their overjoyed faces.Mario pressed his lips against hers. "I love you."

"It's a girl! It's a girl! I'm gonna have a daughter!" Mario screamed. Indigo pressed her hand against her baby bump.
"Calm down, you silly boy." Indigo chuckled, although she was just as excited as he was.
"How can I, when I'm going to be a father to a beautiful baby girl?"2 Y E A R S L A T E R
"Haha... I'm having sooooo much fun..." Mario stumbled, glass of alcohol in hand. His arm slithered around a girl with icy-blonde hair and pale skin. "I'll call you later Ivory." Mario whispered to the girl. She giggled back. "See ya!"

Mario woke to a text from Ivory. Who's Ivory?, Mario thought.
Ivory 😜: Mario I'm pregnant.
All of a sudden, he got a pang of memory. Shit. Last night.
Before he could reply, a five-year-old jumped onto his bed, waking up both Mario and Indigo. "Daddy! Mommy!" Indigo and Mario's daughter, Violet, squealed.
"Hey Vi, want breakfast?" Mario generously replied, to which Violet nodded vigorously. Mario got out of bed with slight difficulty, trying his best to hide the pain of last night's hangover.•••
Indigo, curious, looked at Mario's lock screen. One notification. The text from the scandal. Her eyebrows furrowed. Homewrecker, she thought, angrily. But then she started to panic. This can't be true, Mario wouldn't do this... would he? He did come home really late last night. Oh goodness...

"CARE TO EXPLAIN, HUH?" Indigo shouted. Mario had no right to argue. He was completely at fault here.
Indigo's eyes started watering. "Remember what you said, five years ago? How you said you'd be a father to a beautiful baby girl? Is this... is this what you think fatherhood is? Leaving your wife and putting your child through trauma by impregnating and having another child with another girl?" Indigo never thought she'd ever say those words and mean them.
"I get it. I'm at fault. And I know sorry isn't enough. So what do you want me to do?" Mario said. He had nothing to lose, since he had lost everything.
Or so he thought.
"I want you to stay out of my life and Violet's. Leave. Go to that Ivory bitch or whatever her name is. Just. Go." Mario was so hurt.
As the saying goes, you never know what you have until you lose it.

Ivory decided to not abandon her and Mario's child. She named the daughter Coral. She has strawberry-blonde hair and pinkish, pale skin. Admittedly, she was beautiful.

Violet sits on her father's couch, her deep purple eyes gazing into her phone. Today, Violet is Mario's responsibility.
"Violet, today I want you to meet someone." Mario announces. She sighed. Violet has nearly come to terms with her father. Slowly, she is accepting her father's mistake, to which Mario is forever grateful.
"This is Coral, your half-sister." A little, freckled, adorable girl pops up from behind Mario's legs. You, Violet thinks, you are what tore my family apart. You are why I couldn't have a complete set of parents. You are why I lived with a sad and irresponsible mother for three years. You-
"I'm Coral." She says. It's hard to believe they're even related, with Violet having a bronze complexion and Coral having a pasty, pink tinged one, Violet's dark plum hair and Coral's pinkish one, their eyes- the list could go on and on.
She was a beautiful mistake, and Violet abhorred her for that.
After quite a silence, Coral spoke.
"I'm sorry I tore your family apart."
