This is dedicated to xbangxo_ for finishing Hey recently :)))

Thanks to Zelinkie for the adorable cover - I find it so ironic for this oneshot, and I love it. Hunter11223345, did you proofread this one? If you haven't can you do that for me, lol?

The fact that the setting for this oneshot is what it is breaks my heart because of something hard happening in my life right now.

Please do the support thing. I'm tired. Really worn out.

Waking up from a deep sleep and feeling extremely dazed, I blink my eyes drowsily, attempting to pull myself together.  There are numerous IVs sticking in my veins, and it takes everything in me not to yank them out. Shifting in my bed, I pile all my pillows on top of me so I don't have to look at the nurse who comes to check on me every hour or so. I haven't actually gotten a good look at him because I've been in a half conscious state for the past few days I've been here.

It's sort of hard to breathe from underneath these pillows, but I find that I can manage better than I expected to. Thankfully, they block out the bright sunlight, and my eyes can get adjusted to the amount of light streaming into the room from the open windows.

Hiding a small yawn, I squint in order to focus my eyes ahead of me at the door as though I'll be able to ward off all strangers in this way. A knock sounds on my door shortly after I finish adjusting my pillows, and the door is pushed open, my nurse poking his blonde head in. He's here to check my vitals no doubt. He approaches my bed, and I decide to mumble, "Fight me."

He raises an amused brow before moving my mountain of pillows away, "Maybe later, alright, Zelda?"

A pout registers on my lips, and I just glare at him the whole time as he checks my vitals, humming as he works. Every once in a while, I puff blonde hair away from my face, doing my best to showcase my annoyance to him through eye rolls and sighs.

Finally, he finishes and casts me an amused glance, "All done now, Zelda. I'll be back to check on you in an hour or so, okay? Don't kill yourself before then."

"Already came pretty close to it a few days ago with that car," I mutter, rolling my eyes. "Dumb driver not watching where he was going."

His jaw tightens before he leaves the room, "Well, do your best to remain in one piece for me."

I scoff but humor him, "I'll try."

Then, he exits the room, closing the door behind him. The room collapses in silence once more, and I groan before heaping my pillows back on top of me.

I really hate this.

Moments later, my eyes close shut, and I try not to yawn. I don't want to sleep more, but it comes to claim me anyways. I don't even have time to rearrange my pillows.

The next time I wake is when a needle is being prodded into my skin by that blonde nurse. I begin to speak, but my coughs drown my voice out. He's able to catch the gist of what I'm trying to say, though. A smile spreads across his face, and he speaks, "I wouldn't fight you because I know you'll win."

My brow quirks at this, but I don't smile back. I just try to stop my coughing fit while he finishes up whatever torture he's inflicting on my arm.

"Well, that's the last one for the day, Miss Zelda," he says. "I'll be seeing you early tomorrow morning before you're discharged."

I'm so excited to get out of this awful hospital and get back to living real life without any needles or bad food. Still, I keep my facial expression neutral as he prepares to leave the room. Soon after, someone brings in food, and I shovel some of the mush into my mouth. Groaning, I mutter to myself, "Gosh, I hate this..."

The nurse watches me eat before clearing his throat awkwardly, "I'm going to be heading out for the night now... Good night, Zelda."

"Good night, whatever your name is," I fling back at him while pushing away my plate. I really don't like whatever this food is supposed to be.

"It's Link," the nurse says before stepping into the doorway. "My name is Link."

Shrugging, I sink back into my bed, "'Night, Link."

He nods before exiting my room. Now I can have some peace and quiet - no more me having to awkwardly respond to an obvious attempt at conversation from him. I can be a recluse if I want to.

Roughly ten minutes later, though, a nurse on the night shift enters my room with a small paper bag in hand. "Here, Zelda - this is for you."

My brow raises, and I peek inside the little bag, seeing a crisp ginger cookie inside. I wonder who could've gotten this for me before taking a small nibble. It's really yummy, and I eat the whole thing in only a few minutes. It's so much better than this hospital food they've been feeding me for the past week or so.

The night shift nurse helps me get ready for bed, and I drift off to sleep, looking forward to going home tomorrow morning.

My eyes fly open in what feels like only a few minutes after falling asleep, and a female nurse helps me get dressed. I'm so excited as I make my way out of my hospital room.

It's liberating, stepping out onto the cobblestone sidewalk outside and feeling the breeze mess with my blonde hair. I see my normal daytime nurse - Link - walking toward me with a cup of coffee in hand, ready to go to work. But instead of taking sips of his drink as he walks, he hands it to me with a grin, "Congrats, Zelda." Then he walks away toward the hospital, leaving me completely dumbfounded with the cup of coffee in my hand.

I glance at the plastic cup, and the first words that greet me are "Fight me?" written in bold Sharpie. Underneath that is a number.

...

I blink.

Then, I pull out my phone, adding the number to my contacts and sending a text -

Me: Hey Link

About a minute later, I get a response -

Link: And who might this be? The Princess of Pillows?

Me: ...

Me: Fight me
