As Wren walked to her class she saw Max, her best friend ever, with his back facing her as he sat observing the students rush in to the building. She decided as she walked over she would surprise him. So as she came up to him, from behind, she covered his eyes with her hands.
"Guess who!", she said in a weird voice.
"Hmm," Max said as he reached up to feel her hands," well there are multiple rings," as he ran his fingers over hers then moved on to her wrists," and tons of bracelets." She could practically hear the smile grow on his face.
Max knew who it was and knew what he had to do,"Wren, what are you doing?", ask not turning around.
"Trying to surprise you," she said as she went to remove her hands.
Max grabbed her hands and quickly turned around," well I have a surprise for you," he said before quickly leaning in and kissing her on the lips. He then abruptly stood up and walked away muttering how he shouldn't have.
Wren was left standing there stunned, with her fingers tracing her lips. Why did he do that? Did it mean something? Does he like me more than a friend? Why did he leave? Did I do something wrong? These questions and many more were turning around Wren head. She will just have to ask him in class. Ask him if he wants to be friends or more.
