There are four diffrent coat colors of labs, there is Golden lab, Chocolate Lab, and Black labs, and white Labradors. White Labradors are rare but they are real. Labs can live 10-12 years old. (my black lab is 13)

Labradors were chosen for military because of their love for tracking and senting. They make very good house pets especially for children and they'll make a good guard dog, they can get along with other animals pretty well.
