One week later, Gerard found him self sat in front of his computer screen, reading up on the latest Human interactions. There was one more forum posted about a sighting in Jersey, and Gerards curioisty was getting the best of him.

He wanted to see it for himself. To know that they were real, to not be crazy.

They just had to exist! Theres so many facts out there in the world, pointing towards the Human race existing. There once was a queen, who ate cooked animals, and natural grown plants that were deemed edible. Not once did any one see her drink blood at all. But no one had the guts to stand up and say something about it, her fangs looked real enough....right? The drawings made them look real at least...... Her death was apparently because she didnt have enough blood in her system, but some say she was killed off. No one knows.

So Gerard shut off his computer and quickly grabbed his jacket. He put up the hood, and slid on his sunglasses. There wasnt much of a need for them, other then the fact that he did not want to get caught. All he had to do was make it to the outskirts of town and get to the foods. No one rarely goes though, unless they absolutley need to find a animal to hunt. Most just go to the fields, he wouldnt really call them fields anymore though.

Leaving his apartment, Gerard took the stairs quickly and made his way outside. Gerard thanked himself for being graced with super speed. It did have it perks. See, all vampires have certain qualities that the next vampire may not have. Super speed, super strength, super smart, well you get the idea. Only bad thing was that those who also have super speed, would be able to spot Gerard and stop him. So hopefully, no one saw him going into the woods. Or that no one questioned as to why he was going into the woods.

Gerard stopped running and put his hand against the nearest tree, almost doubling over. Running like that took a lot of energy out of him. Taking a few deep breathes, Gerard finally started walking towards where the forum said the spotting was.

He removed the sunglasses, and placed them a top his head. He walked for what felt like hours, but what was really only about 20 minutes. He tried to be as quiet as he could, so he wouldnt scare of any human, if there was any around here.

Gerard thought he heard a cry within the distant, but he ended up just finding more dead ends. He couldnt find any evidence that there was a human around any where. He couldnt even smell anything other then the nature around him. So that in itself would have been a dead give away. Giving up, Gerard started the journey back to his apartment.

The forum would be getting a not so nice comment from him. He trurley believes that humans exist, and he doesnt need false hope. Gerard really doesnt want to be wrong on this, otherwise he has wasted so much of his time that he could have been doing something else. Maybe he could have found a nice mate and settled down by now. But he was to engrossed in finding out that they were out there in the real world. Among vampires everyday. So nothing was going to be able to get in his way, not then and not now.

When Gerard got back, instead of going on his laptop like he planned, he went straight to his bed. Today just tired him out and he wanted it to be over. He would go back on the forum tomorrow, and hopefully get more evidence on the humans that are hanging around the outskirt of his town. Not only did Gerard want to just see the humans for himself, he also wanted to keep them safe. If other vampires found out that humans did exist, and that they were hanging around here? Who knows what they what they would do to them. Either tear them apart for science, or tear them apart and eat them....Neither being a good thing.

He knew that they were out there, and he would find them.
