Chapter 20: girl's sleepover with surprise

Mal's POV
I smiled as I lead Sofia/Evie into my apartment.
"Don't think Har- I mean Thomas would be here now so the place is ours" I said smoothly.
"So you really wrote all of those songs?" Sofia asked.
I nodded.
"Yeah, I did" I said "I really enjoyed writing 'chillin like a villain' and 'space between'"
"Well I love them both" Sofia said.
"The dance moves are better" I said, smirking.
"All no" Sofia said as she sat on the couch "Thats not good"
I laughed.
"Its not that bad, some of the choreography is really good" I said "I've only seen the draft videos and it looks cool, especially 'chillin like a villain'"
"That would be so cool" Sofia said.
"I wish I sung that song" I said and sighed.
We sat there awkwardly for a while.
I put my arm around Sofia who snuggled into me in response
"I really missed this" she whispered "Hanging out"
I smiled and put my head on hers.
"I do too" I whispered "Wanna talk"
"Okay" she said and sat cross legged on the couch "Talk about what's happened to you"
I sighed and sat down next to her and explained.
Explained what happened, from me leaving to finding Amelia and getting the job at Disney.
"Thats so cool!" Sofia said "Working with Liv and Maddie good too?"
I sighed.
"There's this one guy who doesn't take no for an answer and it doesn't help when hes the love interest for one of the twins" I said sadly.
"Who?" Sofia asked, sounding like she used to, making me laugh.
"Ryan" I said, making her nod.
"I know him" she said "Well, heard of him"
"He has a good personalty but just never knows when to give up" I answered.
"What about Ben?" She asked, making me widen my eyes.
"Um..." I said, a blush rising to my cheeks.
"YOU STILL LIKE HIM!!!" She exclaimed, screaming like crazy "BAL IS STILL REAL!"
"Shut up Sofia!" I snapped, making her stop yelling "He won't, he doesn't like me or Mal anymore"
"He does" Sofia said.
I shake my head.
"He has mixed feelings for Mal while sister like feelings for Dove...well me" I answered "He's better off without me, wait for me to finish-" Sofia closed her mouth "-he needs a princess to rule, not a VK"
"We'll always be from the Isle but we are both Isle and Auradon, the perfect wicked mixture of both" Sofia said "If Ben doesn't see the real you then you can stop; don't stop because you think you aren't good enough"
I laughed softy.
"That's what Uma said to me at the R.O.A.R place" I answered.
She glared at me.
"Now, I want to give you a well deserved make over and don't refuse" she said.
I sighed in defeat.
"Okay, since I have to make it up to you" I said, making her scream and click her fingers.

I gasped as I looked down, I look really good.

"I love it!" I exclaimed "But can I take the heals off?"
"Still the same Mal...yes you can" Sofia said and I quickly took them off.
"Wanna chose a movie?" I asked.
"Sure" Sofia said.
I stood up and Sofia shot up straight away and ran to the kitchen.
"THE MOIVES ARE UNDER THE CABINET IN THE DINING ROOM, THATS THE KITCHEN!" I yelled, making her sheepishly walk back into the lounge room.
"I knew that" she said, making me laugh.

In the end we watched 'Edward scissor hands', which is my all time favourite as well as Sofia's so we cuddled together until near the end of the movie a knock was heard at the door, making me confused.
"I'll get it" I said to the nearly asleep Sofia on the couch with my blanket.
She nodded and closed her eyes as I walked to the door.
I opened it and saw Mitch with another girl.
The girl has sandy blonde hair which is softly curled and stops at her breast. She has limited make-up on; foundation, cat eye liner, light blue eyeshadow, pink lipgloss. She has a light blue summer dress on with dark blue 1 inch heals.
Mitch is wearing a white shirt with black pants and boots...his hair is messy like usual.
"Hey Mitch, what's up?" I asked.
"Is Thomas there?" Mitch asked worried?
"No, didn't come back home why?" I asked.
"I was wondering where he was, don't wor-"
"Aren't you going to introduce me to her?" The girl asked, her voice sounding light but has a tone of bitchness.
I recognise that voice from somewhere.
"Dove,this is Crystal, daughter of Cinderella...my girlfriend" Mitch said.
Thats why I know her, she used to hang out with Audrey...
WAIT GIRLFRIEND?
I widen my eyes.
"You finally got a girl?" I asked, trying to hind the hurt in my voice.
"You're Dove Cameron, the Dove Cameron?" Crystal asked, really excited.
I made a forced smile.
"Thats me!" I exclaimed, "So you're a princess?"
"Yeah" Crystal said, her voice flattering "It's not the best thing in the world, especially with people like my brother around"
I laughed.
"Chad?" I asked, making her nod "Who can?"
She laughs.
"Question" Mitch said,eying me up and down "Why are you dressed up like that?"
I crossed my arms.
"I can do what I want you know!" I fake snapped, making them both jump. I laughed "Kidding, it's Sofia and her fashion tips"
"Haha, fun for you" Mitch teased.
I slapped him on the arm playfully.
"I'll make Evie do you next" I said quickly and then covered my mouth as they widen their eyes.
"Evie?" Mitch asked.
"Evie?" I asked back "Sorry, I must have slipped into movie mode, I sometimes do that"
They both didn't buy it.
"Anyway, go have fun on your date!"I said.
"It's not a-" Mitch stared but I closed the door on them, the tears staring to fall down my face.
"Dove!" Mitch exclaimed "Open up!"
I felt my eyes glow green with anger.
"Spend time with your girlfriend,you need it with the way you're going in your love life!" I snapped, I heard Mitch sigh.
"Maybe we should go" Crystal whispered and walked off, making the sound of the ending credits ring in my ears as well as Sofia soft snores.
I let all of my tears out and cried and wailed.
Maybe I wasn't ready to move on,
Maybe I wasn't ready to except the truth of Ben moving on.
It's a good thing he's moved on.
One so he's happy
And two so that one weakness I can get out of my way.
And that gives me another reason to give the fairy godmother a well overdue visit.
