A Crazy Day in the Life of Azwelitia The Great Holy Demon Wars Series Book 1

Chapter 9: A Troubled Couple and the new life that is caught in between

As we closed the last chapter, we learned that both Hardwyn and Azwelitia had undergone changes. Hardwyn had learned to use the famous sword, the RegaliniaGoldDust, the sword that used to belong to the Calidragon race; and that Azwelitia has become pregnant with their first child. The biggest question that should be asked and might have been asked at the close of the last chapter, what will happen to the love couple once Hardwyn learns of his fiancée's pregnancy? Will they try to work things out and have the child together or will there be a fight and then they break up and Azwelitia has child alone? What will be the outcome? We need to find out as the party will be commencing in some time and they need to have a talk with each other about what has happened since they last been together. Let's dive into the story and see what will happen to our love birds.

Azwelitia new that she needed to tell Hardwyn that she became pregnant with their first child, but she was afraid that he would become very upset and run away again. So, instead she asked him, "Honey, has anything happened to you since we have been apart? I am very interested in learning about your journeys. Can you please tell about your adventures?"

Hardwyn was surprised that Azwelitia would ask him to tell her about his adventures, instead of her telling her exciting news first. He knew that she had exciting news, but why she was not coming out and saying it, was confuddling him. He wanted to know why she was afraid to tell about their new child that was going to be born. So, he asked her.

Hardwyn said, "My sweet, dear, darling Azwelitia, I want to tell about my adventures, but I know there's something you're not telling me. Aren't we to expect a child soon? Why are you afraid to tell me? Are you afraid that if you told me that I might get upset and run? I can tell you through my adventures, I have become a changed man. I am no longer a boy, but a man. I will no longer run from my troubles. I have promised that I would never leave your side. I am going to keep good on the promise as I am your fiancé. I love you and will always love you and will love this child with all my heart as I am the father. I will teach the child everything I know about life and I will make sure that this child has a great home. I love you so much Azwelitia. I will defend you with my new sword, the RegaliniaGoldDust, so that you do not have to fight while you are carrying our child in your womb. I do this as your fiancé and your friend. You have nothing to worry about. I would lay down my life to protect you and our child. You have my word. I will be planning to go back to the grottle and getting it prepared for the child as soon as the evil ones are defeated. So, you will have nothing to worry about. I will live with you for the rest of my life."

Azwelitia was surprised with the statement that Hardwyn made. She thought that she would make an argument or say nothing. But the fact that he told her that he would stick by her through her pregnancy and that he would defend her. She now knew that he loved her completely and that he would never leave her side no matter what happens to them. She knew that one day she could plan on marrying Hardwyn and that they could plan on living together forever with their child as a family. She was a happy dragon. She knew that this would be a joyous engagement party. She knew that she had to tell him now that there is a party for them both. But how to tell him that he was going to celebrated as a man of the hour for a party of engagement, well that was something that she had thought about. But Hardwyn already knew about the party. He wanted to know when they get the party started.

Hardwyn said his love, "Honey, when are we going to the party and get it started? I know that you are holding an engagement party for us and that I am to be the man of the hour. So, can we get going to the party and get it started? I want to have fun like I have never had before!"

Azwelitia who was surprised that Hardwyn already knew about their engagement party, must have figured that they have been connected not only physically, but psychically in a way that made him know her every thought and feeling while they were separated. He must have known what was going on inside the grottle while he was away as he has been changing in a big way. She must have been now barely able to recognize him as his birthday was coming up in two days and that was when the party was; he had grown taller and his human features were no longer human. He looked like a demon. She wondered if she should tell him of his ancestry. That her ancestors and his ancestors used to live together in the same castle and that his ancestors where called the Dwahatibas, they were the ancient will readers, however they did many other things to help out the Calidragons. And Hardwyn was starting to look like his ancestors. This was becoming concerning to Azwelitia as she did not know what to do about this new development in their relationship, but she knew that things would eventually work themselves out. So, she figured that if she waited until after the party to tell him, it would be the best thing because she did not want to make him upset as she had invited his parents and the fact was she was planning on sending him home with them so that he could catch up on his schooling since he had been away from school for such a long time. He needed to catch up on his schoolwork. She wanted to go back, but since she was a demon and now that she was pregnant, she did not know how she would be received by the school. So, she decided to stay away for a while. So, Azwelitia told Hardwyn, "Sweetie pie, the party isn't for two days yet. We are having on your birthday so that you can get the presents that you were wishing to get. But since you have grown into quite the brave man, we figured that you should get some things that a fighter requires when battling evil. These will be your birthday presents. We want to surprise you, so can you can wait a couple days more? It won't be until the party comes. Please wait for me. I let you stay with me in my vacation home, as we are engaged. I even have a bed that we both sleep on together. I want to spend time to together before the party. I have missed you and missed your wonderful handsomeness. I wanted to be with you every minute that I could, but because you were so far away and the fact that the weather started acting up, I could only spend time with our friend Mali, the monk, who helped me bring you back from the human realm when you had ran back there after the incident with my brother, which I want to apologize for. When you there admiring my family's heirloom sword and also talking to him about it, and then I suddenly showed up and interrupted your conversation with him, you must have thought that I did not notice you that you were there. The fact was I did know that you were there with my brother, Chyzakus. I had not, I would not have come over to talk to him. I was actually going to ask him if we could give you the sword right there with you pulling the sword out of the stone. But when I went to ask, you were gone and felt bad, because I figured that you must have thought that I must have not noticed you that I forgot about you. I have never forgotten about you. I brought you back with help from the monk because I wanted to explain everything to you, but never had a chance. I am very sorry that has happened to you until now. Can you forgive me? I must not be the best fiancé. We can still stay together. Are mad at me for everything that I put you through? I bet you must hate me. Do you?"
