Emilio's P.O.V.

I look over at the alarm clock on the night stand next to Rose, seeing it was 7 in the morning. I look down to see Rose in my arms, peacefully sleeping.

I noticed her beautiful long eyelashes sit atop her cute cheeks, small breaths escaping her mouth as she continues her slumber.

How did a human, even when they were doing something so natural, not trying to look good; looked so irresistible? Rose amazed me more and more each day, with her beauty, the beauty that swept me off my feet.

I get out of the bed, lifting the covers off of myself carefully, making sure not to wake up Rose.

I slip on my shoes, and grab my wallet, phone, and keys; making my way out of her apartment, and into the elevators.

Once I hear the dinging of the elevator, I walk out looking for my car; immediately jumping in and starting the ignition.

As I drive to the store, I think about how lucky I truly was. I had the girl of my dreams, Rose was absolutely such an importance in my life; she lit up my world. Ever since she came into my life, I was happier, glowing even.

Her beauty was radiating, she was the sun in the morning, and throughout the day. I cannot be without her any longer, she had to be mine.

So that's exactly what I was planning today.

I made my way to the Tiffany and Co. store, turning into their small parking lot, and parking my car.

I walk into the store, the cold air within the store instantly meeting my body.

I'm met with the cream colored walls, and glass showcases filled with expensive jewelry.

I walk up to the counter, seeing a young lady about in her early 20's with a name tag reading Elizabeth.

"Hello how may I help you today?" She asks nicely, putting her boney fingers a top the counter.

"I am looking for a nice simple necklace to give to my girl." I respond, looking at her and then quickly looking through the clear glass, looking at the different selections.

"Okay well all of our necklaces and pendants are over here." She says as she walks to the right, showing me a whole showcase filled with many different ones.

I look through all the different ones, seeing her pull out some of the most popular ones. But none of them caught my attention. I wanted a unique one for her, she was a unique person; she deserved the best in the world.

I look to see a simple, yet beautiful necklace, it had a name under it, reading Open Heart Pendant.

I instantly loved the idea, and the name of the pendant. It symbolized my feelings towards her. My heart was completely open to her, she had taken my heart; and was caring for it.

The pendant was beautiful, and absolutely perfect for my beautiful girl.

"Can I get the Open Heart Pendant?" I ask the lady, pointing at the pendant, and looking up at her. She smiles at me, money signs in her eyes, already knowing she had probably made the sale of the day.

"Of course, right this way." She answers, going towards the register, and going in to the back; getting the pendant I wanted.

I am finally doing this, asking her to be my girlfriend. I was excited, but yet nervous about everything. I mean this could go all right and perfect, or it could all go down the hole and just not work at all.

But no matter what, if this went to the worst case scenario, I would wait for her. I would do anything as long as she was mine in the end, I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, even if its too soon to determine that; Its what I wanted. I don't want to loose her.

She is the girl of my dreams, and I will do anything for her just to see her smile.

I couldn't help the smile on my face, as I see the lady come back with he small aqua blue box, placing it in a simple white bag.

"That will be 250 please." Elizabeth says, reading the total of the register.

I pull out my debit card, in it filled with money I had saved up over these weeks to buy Rose this, and to plan this whole thing.

She swiped the card, asking me to put in my pin number after. When the transaction went through, she passed me my card back, and gave me the bag with the necklace, cheerfully saying, "Have a good day, please come again." I respond with a quick, "Thanks you too." and make my way out to the parking lot and to my car.

I place the bag next me in the passengers seat, and head to the Smiths close to my apartment complex.

As I arrive, I already know what I am going to get, having the whole thing planned for tonight.

I walk in, the cold air in the grocery store meeting my face. I walk to my right and grab a cart, and go in through the automatic doors. As I walk in, I get a feeling of familiarness, as I came to the same place when I came to get the roses for the date I went on with Rose.

I look through the different selections of the roses and flowers, the sweet smell of all of them combining. I immediately pick out the white, red, and purple roses.

I get a couple dozens of each color, placing them in my cart, and making my way to the cash register.

As I pull my cart into an empty register, I start loading all the roses into the belt, getting ready for checkout.

As I loaded everything on, I made my way to the cashier, seeing the same elderly lady that I had met the day I was taking Rose out on a date, checking out my items.

She looks up, noticing my presence, smiling, she says, "Hello young man, back again?"

I chuckle, knowing what she had meant, "Yes, Im actually asking her to be my girlfriend this time." I continue, taking out my card.

"What a lucky young lady she is." The lady continues, she looks at the items as she checks them out, a sad look on her face, yet happy.

As she sensed my confusion she says, "I remember when my husband did things like this for me, but he had to take a vacation for a while, he's at peace." she sadly says.

I realized, what she meant was her husband was no longer here with us, sadly.

"Im so sorry." I say sadly, at a loss of words for the elderly woman.

"Don't be, just enjoy all the time you have with this young lady. From the looks of it she must be someone very special. Treat her right, and protect her." She sincerely says, never breaking eye contact, knowing she had meant every single word.

"I won't ever let her be in danger, or ever hurt her." I promise her, giving her my card, and putting all the roses in the cart.

She doesn't reply with words, instead she just smiles at me, the winkles beside her face prominent.

She finishes the transaction, passing me my card back, and lastly says, "I hope everything goes well with you and her, I have a good feeling."

"Thank you so much, have a great day." I finish, grabbing my card, and giving her one last smile before making my way out of the store.

There was no turning back, tonight I was going to ask Rose to be my girlfriend. The girl that lit up my world, that inspires me each day to become a better version of myself. My world, my absolute happiness, the woman of my dreams.
