There's a knock on my bedroom door as I open it to see Ben.
"Hey" I smile as I hug him.
" you never told me" He shakes his head.
" Told you what"?! I ask.
" That you're leaving in 3 months"! Ben huffs.
" Ben I-I didn't want to hurt you" i sigh.
" What so you were just going to pack up and leave just like that, without a goodbye" Ben shakes his head sitting on my bed.
" Ben listen you-" Ben then cuts me off.
" No you listen, You're my best friend and when you leave, you'll just forget about me"! He shouts.
" Ben..I" I trail off.
" Don't do this to me" He sighs as a tear dribbles down his cheek.
" I never should've met you..Everyone I meet, I end up hurting them somehow" I sigh.
" Don't say that" He huffs.
" I promise Ben, When I leave I won't ever forget you and everything you have done for me. Remember 2 months ago when I was getting beaten up and you stepped in and kicked his ass for me"? I gently smile as He chuckles.
" When I move down there, Whenever you want you come and visit okay"? I gently smile rubbing his hand.
" Promise"? He smiles looking into my eyes.
" Promise" I nod as he smiles.
" Welp you better get packing"! Ben laughs as he slowly walks out the door.
" I'll see you tomorrow"! I call as he laughs leaving the door. As I begin packing my stuff, a small picture falls out of a box.

It was the same photo of me and Joey that Tayla had taken that one morning before everything got complicated. I shake my head as I put it back into the box.
I couldn't wait to be back home.
3 Months later.
We were in the car, on our way home. Saying goodbye to Ben wasn't easy, He had tears dribbling down his cheeks. I admit I will dearly miss him, but he can see me whenever he desires. But It's been 2 years and I miss my home, my friends and I especially have missed Dylan and Summer.
Liam is now 6 and will be starting school at the same primary school I went to.
" We're home"! Dad smiles as he pulls into the driveway. It was the same home. A small tear dribbles down my cheek. Finally home.
I run inside and up stairs to my room dancing around.
" WE'RE HOME"!! I gaps as I run around. Finally home.
" Yayyy" Liam yells as he runs inside. it was 7:30am, I was dressed and ready for school, scared to death but extremely exited.
As dad drops me off I inhale. Year 12, Senior year. I couldn't believe it.
" TAHLIA"! Summer screams as she sprints over to me and jumps onto me as we fall to the ground.
" Summer holy crap"! I grin as we both stand up.
" Quick, the rest of the guys will be waiting to see you"! Summer squeals as she runs me down the pathway to the table we always used to sit at. I look at Jett, Riley and Dylan sitting there. Hey I guess some things don't change.
" TAHLIA"! Dylan yells as he runs up to me and engolfs me in a warm long hug as we both go and sit down.
" How was it"? Riley smiles.
" School was shit but California was okay" I smile.
" I see you met Ben" Summer laughs.
" Yes..." I blush.
" So uhm.. where's Joey"? I ask.
" See.. you were gone for 2 years and some things have changed" Dylan sighs.
" What do you mean"? I ask.
" Joey took Evey from me" Riley sighs looking down.
" So wait, Joey's dating Evey now"? I ask.
" Yeah" Summer rolls her eyes as we all turn to look in the direction that they're walking.
I look at Joey, his hair still the same. He still wears his AFL cap and his black vans. He has his arm around Evey's shoulder. For a minuet he looks over here. Our eyes interlock as he stops and stares.
" He's looking at you" Dylan rolls his eyes.
Joey then quickly looks away as him and Evey continue walking.
" So wait tell me the whole story"?! I ask Riley.
" Well it all started at the middle of last year, Joey and I were at Shoppingworld getting lunch and we saw Evey, I kissed and hugged her as she ignored me like the whole time just listening into what Joey had to say. I knew something was suss, so the next day I confronted Joey about it. He told me I was being stupid and that I should get over myself. Then a week after that Evey dumped me and was dating Joey not a minute after" Riley sighs.
" What a fucking jerk" I gasp.
" Yeah he is" Dylan says looking at me.
" I thought he would've changed" I shrug.
" Well he for sure didn't" Summer shakes her head. No... I don't love him anymore that's for sure.. I just wish I could've said goodbye, Maybe it would've stopped a lot of things...
"Tahlia"? Dylan waves his hand in front of my face.
" I uh, I have to go" I shake my head. I rush to the bathroom and grab out my book. It had everything written in it. Every word he said, Like how he once complemented my eye shadow or when he told me my perfume smelt good. I rip it up and throw it in the toilet bin.
" He still loves you" Summer whispers as she steps closer.
" I don't" I shake my head holding back the tears.
" Well whatever you guys had, it isn't gone" Summer gently smiles.
" I don't love him Summer, I fucking hate him" I shake my head.
" But why, Like I get it, But you used to love him" She sighs.
" Let's just forget about it huh"? I frown.
" You can forget about it.. but it will always be in your mind" Summer says as we walk out.
" He's with Evey now, I couldn't care less" I huff.
" If that's what you think" Summer shrugs.
I didn't love him anymore-
I get cut out of my thoughts by bumping into someone and falling to the ground.
" Oi what the fu-" I look up to see Joey, but no Evey.
" Tahlia"! He gently smiles.
I huff as I get up and Summer looks at me, I just shake my head.
" you're back"! He grins.
" Yup" I shrug as Summer and I continue walking as Joey doesn't follow.
