As we were boarding the plane, I still refused to believe the information he had given me...
" are you okay"? Joey asks me snapping me out of my thoughts.
" Yeah, no I'm fine.." I trail off looking out the plane window, watching as we take off.
" I never thought I'd find you again" He gently smiles at me as I begin to blush.
" You can't do that" He scoffs.
" W-What, do what"?! I look at him confused as he begins to tear up, then he starts to hyperventilate.
" Joey"?! I freak as a tear dribbles down his cheek.
" You-you can't fall in love with me again. Not when I'm going to be dead soon" He sighs as I look at him.
" Don't say that" I shake my head as he shrugs it off.
Soon enough we were in Hawaii.. Every thing had happened way too fast for me to comprehend.
We both walk into the room as Joey sighs, he sits outside on the balcony as i stand there with my head tilted on an angle.
why was i in hawaii? Why did i come here with him?! He has broken my heart almost 7 times but hey, i still love him.
" Joey, I think we should talk about a few things..." I trail off, tracing the palm of my hand as he looks back at me.
" Look, i'm sorry i made you come to Hawaii, it was so quick" he shakes his head as he stands up, slowly walking over to me.
" No seriously Joey, you're sick and I want to be here with you" I nod as he sighs, looking guilty.
" You okay?" I ask as he nods.
His phone begins to vibrate in his pocket as he pulls it out, his eyes wide.
" I needa take this" he nods as I gently smile.
I watch as he walks into the bathroom, shutting the door.
I know i shouldn't, but i can't help myself.
I quickly stand up and walk over to the bathroom door, my ear against the door.
" I know but it was the only way I could get her out of there quick enough. If I didn't then she'd most likely be dead" Joey speaks.
What the fuck.
I wanna scream, He lied to me.
Wait, does this mean he doesn't even have cancer.
I listen harder as his voice turns angry.
" If you don't find her before we get back, I swear to god"
" No, I had to lie, she's never gonna forgive me now, just do what you have to" He sighs loudly.
Before I could hear him hang up, I run out the front door, sitting back on the stairs.
What the fuck.
My anger isn't able to stay inside me, fuck I need to get away.
I stand up to see him walking towards me, a confused look on his face as I can't stand still.
He fucking lied to me about something this big.
" Hey Tahls-" I cut him off.
I wanted to ask him what was going on but my anger took over.
" Don't you dare Tahls me, Don't even come near me. Who the fuck do you think you are, lyng to me about having fucking cancer you pathetic piece of shit!" I growl as his eyes are wide.
He slowly makes his way towards me, I'm so angry I can't move my feet.
" Okay, Tahlia take it easy, let's talk about this inside" He nods.
" No fucking way am I going anywhere near you. I dropped everything and came to fucking Hawaii with you, do you know how CRAZY that is" I yell.
Before I can yell anything else his hand is around my mouth and he drags me inside, shutting the front door behind us.
He gently puts me on the bed as my eyes are filled with anger.
" I'M SO MAD AT YOU, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE" I scream as he covers my mouth telling me to shush.
" Why Joey, why the fuck did you lie, after three fucking years, you come to me lying about having cancer. What did you want another root or something is that it?" I spit as he laughs.
" No hunny, now can you calm down, and don't yell" He nods as he sits on the chair opposite me so that we're face to face.
" Explain right now, before I call 000 and file a kid napping report" I cross my arms as he rolls his eyes.
" Of coarse, stubborn as always" He huffs.
So if this whole thing was a lie, how am I supposed to trust what he even has to say, or when he said he loved me was he lying even then?!
" Your phone has a chip in it that can listen to your phone calls, so don't call anyone" He nods.
Wait what.
" Wait what the fuck are you on about" I ask.
" Remember Evey?" He asks.
" The bitch from grade 12?" I raise an eyebrow.
" She's mentally sick, after year 12 I tried to find you, while I was still dating her. She found a photo of you in my draw and had people start looking for you, without me knowing" He clears his throat.
" Wait- no, this isn't real. None of this is real what is going on?" I freak.
" Tahlia, you can trust me. Please just listen" His soothing voice, calms my breathing to a steady pace.
I nod as he sighs.
" It was you're 20th birthday and I really wanted to see you, I was determined to. So I broke up with Evey, travelled to the beach where you posted on instagram and I saw you there, that's when I asked for your number". He blushes as I roll my eyes.
" But I didn't know Evey had been following me this whole time, she was certain that she'd find you and well...-" I cut him off.
" Joey this is bullshit, why would she-"
" Because i was still in love with you for mine and her whole relationship. You were all I'd ever talk about, now realising how much of a douche I was to her" He sighs.

" She sent me a text that day after the beach and said she has eyes on you, and my whole body went numb. I knew that if something-anything happened to you because of me I'd never forgive myself. Tayler, my close friend was helping me get you when he then got a text saying that if I didn't get back with Evey, she'd.. well she'd kill you." He swallows hard as his eyes begin to go glassy.
What dense bitch would kill a chick out of jealousy?
" I had to get you out of there fast so.. that's all I could think of at the time. And I'm sorry for it but I just had no time" He shakes his head, his eyes pinned to the floor as my whole body tingles.
Holy fuck.
