"Jaime, one minute!" a voice called out. It really didn't matter whose voice it was. All that mattered was that I had a single minute to get onto the runway for my first ever debut as a model. I closed my eyes, imagining my name in the Cavagnaro Catalog, with a picture of my modeling the outfit of the season.

"Jaime, come on!" the voice called again. I snapped out of my daydream and zipped up my dress, exiting the dressing room and running off to the entrance to the runway.

"Honey, you look gorgeous." my employer, the founder of Cavagnaro Designs, Dana Cavagnaro. She sipped get caramel macchiato and smiled. "Now get out there and make me look good!" she said, giving me a slight push. I was fast to gain my balance again, as I walked out into the runway. Right away, cameras flashed and the crowds gaze was on me. I smiled, and made my way down the runway. As instructed, I struck a fierce pose, then turned around and began walking back.

That's when a camera mans flash blinded me for a moment. I felt so blind, and I stumbled. This time, I didn't catch myself. I fell off the runway, and as I expected to hit the ground, I suddenly felt a pair of arms around me. Opening my eyes, I saw a man, an attractive one at that, holding me.

"You alright?" he asked me. I nodded, feeling my face getting hot with embarrassment. He helped me to get back up onto my feet, and the crowd cheered. For me, for the man who saved my career, for us. We both smiled, and he led me back to the prep station.

"I owe you one." I said. "What's your name?"

"Connor Parker." he told me. "And you owe me nothing. Maybe a number?" he said charmingly. I giggled, lightly slapping his upper arm.

"Alright, here." I agreed. He handed me a pen and I quickly wrote my number on his arm. I then heard Dana calling for me, probably to yell at me for screwing up my debut. "I got to go." I said. Before Connor could grab my hand to keep me behind, I ran off to find Dana.

"Honey, what the hell was that?" she shouted. I took a step back, slightly afraid of the very angry Dana.

"One of the photographers flashes blinded me, and I lost my balance." I answered honestly. Dana groaned. Not at me, but the photographer who blinded me.

"That's what you tell the press, Jaime." She told me. "Make that photographer the one at fault. You're so lucky that kid caught you." She said, taking a sip of her coffee and walking away. A fellow model soon approached me.

"Hey, my name's Kelly." she introduced herself. Oh my god, Kelly Jane, a star model. I pinched myself to keep me from fan girling.

"Hey, I'm Jaime!" I replied. we awkwardly shook hands and then walked towards the dressing rooms.

"Don't worry about the fall. It wasn't the worst I've seen." she comforted me. "At least that guy caught you. It would have been worse if you actually hit the ground."

"Well, I'm glad I didn't." I said with a slight chuckle. Kelly laughed.

"I like you, you're funny." she said. "I'll see you around, Jaime!" Kelly walked off towards her agent, leaving me alone. I sighed, and sat in the couch. My first show was finished with, and I know I made quite the impression.
