It's already a day or two when she was found lying on the road. Her caretakers are quite surprised for her fast recovery. She could feel her injured foot has finally healed. Even her complexion, from pale to rosy once again.

The past few days were totally brutal but it felt as if it was a dream. She hugged her knees while looking at the beauty of the city from the window to her left as she found herself drift away to a memory back when she's younger.

Ever since Irene's childhood, she discovered that it is natural for her to heal quickly, whether it's a small cut, or a simple fever. She heals faster than most humans. Somehow, she thought, being different doesn't seem so bad at all. She had always been afraid of hospitals, crowdy places, because she had a notion that 'where the people are, it will always be unsafe'. Her mom used to tell her, 'do not trust anyone so easily, that it is for your own good'.

An image of Sehun's face suddenly flashed between the trail of thoughts. He had been constantly good towards her and it is not that hard to trust on him, she noted to herself to get back to him one day. Practically, she's not used to the life outside her cage and Sehun's the only one who she could trust.

A knock on the door came and Sehun along with Chanyeol stepped inside.

"Well, miss Irene, you're one of a lucky girl. It's great to know that you didn't experience traumatic tendencies after such a situation." Dr. Park said, amused at the same time looking at Irene's records. "You're fine like...that was really fast recovery."

"Kai's team is tracking down the people who kidnapped you days ago. They were the same people the police were tracking for months now." Sehun shared the information he just got from his friend. "Those people, they're wanted, alive or dead." Chanyeol 'tsked' at the side.

She just looked at the two and later focused her sight on the flower vase beside her.

"That's good." She said, audible for them hear. But on the corner of her mind, will they be able to find out who's the master of that group of people? Because deep within her, the master will surely find her.

[A day ago...Irene's escape through the woods]

Kai's investigation team had an information about corpses being thrown on the far east of the city, among its inaccessible places. He also thought these places must be a potential hide out for kidnappers.

"Let's spread all over the place." Kai asked his subordinates, quickly, his men knew what to do.

To Kai, it is an advantage to investigate alone than working with the others. And he also knew to himself, if ever danger comes its way to him, he can also protect himself. The lesser people with him, the safer their life will be.

Minutes of searching the secluded place, rustling came not far away from him. The sound of the phasing footsteps running towards east. He quickly followed where the sound went and was able to see a figure meters away from him.

"Is that...?"

He could see the girl Sehun was looking for, limping in pain, gasping. He inhaled a huge amount of air, sensing the environment, smelling a small portion of blood in the air along with the smell of the earth itself.

"She's hurt..." Kai said.

He quickly came to her aid, but she collapsed before he could actually catch her. He stood in front of her and he saw her eyes slowly closed.

Kai stooped down and scooped her into his arms, running to where his nearest subordinates were.

"Hey, Jungkook!" He called the youngest. Jungkook turned to where the voice came from and saw his sunbae, carrying a girl on his arms.
