Two days. And yet, nothing. I think Asher may be avoiding any subject pertaining to locating my father. His stubbornness is infuriating and frankly, I feel as though I may be wasting time. What have I been actually doing?! Nothing, that's what. He was supposed to help me. Not babysit me. I want to know what's going on yet he dodges the topic altogether. And I think, he does know something, more than he is letting on.

I'm currently sitting in the garden house that is all glass with screens allowing a warm breeze to enter. Surrounding me are the lively growing flowers. Red roses. Vibrant yellow sunflowers. And one of my favorites the blush pink orchids. Serenity, this place calms me and brings me back to good times in my life. The times where my young mind was full of innocence and held no knowledge of the dangers of other worlds. Only my own.

The weather is warm with a slight breeze and the sky holds shades of orange and yellow. I exhale deeply enjoying my small escape. I shut my eyes and lean my head back against the large plush white chair I'm in. It's strange really how one second your life seemed figured out and the next you have no idea where you'll end up the next day. How you thought you knew it all and it turns out you knew nothing. Frustrating really.

A large breeze hits against my bare shoulders and I suddenly feel a presence near me. I immediately open my eyes and sit up quickly. The exit is on the other side of the large garden building that can't be seen from where I'm sitting due to the large growing plants. I hear what seems to be a rustling sound from the plants but see no one.

"Hello?" I ask. Yet no one answers.

"Okay well, I think that's my cue to leave," I say to myself in a hushed voice. I grab my notebook and pen standing up. My feet feel glued to the ground and fear overtakes me. What if it's one of them? Stop. You can't let fear overrun you. My heart begins to race. I then hear more rustling from my right and I bolt to the left. I run heading for the exit, my breathing ragged and adrenaline pumping through my veins. My white tank top and black shorts cause the thorn bushes to scrape against my skin. I keep running, I look over my shoulder as I near the exit but am immediately put to a halt as I run into someone. I can feel them grasp my arm and I gasp letting out a slight squeal. But instantly relax realizing who it is.

"What's the matter? Why are you running?" Asher asks worriedly. My breathing is heavy.

"I- I thought I heard someone, and -" I'm cut off by someone coming out from the garden.

"Hey! Why the hell did you run? I mean I know I'm kinda annoying to be around but I'm not that bad" I let out a sigh realizing my paranoia got the best of me. Asher releases me and strides towards Sebastian.

"What did I say about messing with her?!" He says in a low threatening tone. Immediately I grab his white dress shirt stopping him.

"Stop. It's not his fault. I just got- I just thought it may have been someone else. I'm the one who overreacted." I say holding Asher's arm. He lets out a huff of air.

"Alright. Let's just go inside, we have to talk." His hand grabs a hold of mine leading me toward the house.

"Wait. Sebastian, did you need something? My freak out interrupted whatever you needed to get to me for" I ask looking back at him.
