After I leave the art classroom, I collect my bag from my cafeteria table, and tell Eunha the great news that I got Jungkook to take her out to dinner.
"Oh my god, really?!", she exclaims as she starts to bounce excitedly. "I'm so excited! Give me his number so I can tell him the time and place that we should meet"
I don't get a chance to reply. Eunha takes my phone out of my hand, quickly enters my password - which is now the reason why I regret telling her it - and looks for Jungkook's name in my contacts.
As she types up his phone number in her messages app, I raise an eyebrow at her and hold my hand out.
"Um...aren't you forgetting something? I have to get to my next class, so...", I trail off, waiting for her to respond.
She looks up from her phone and face-palms herself.
"Sorry! I forgot. Here", Eunha puts my phone back in my hand as I stare at her. "You need your phone, right?"
I was hoping for a 'thank you', but I guess giving my phone back is also a nice gesture?
I grip my phone really tightly in an attempt to not scold her. I hope I don't grip it too hard, because I doubt my parents would agree to buy me another phone anyway.
She waves her hand and walks off to the back exit of the cafeteria. I sigh and walk out the main entrance to my next class - which is, unfortunately, geography class, where I have to work on my assessment with Jungkook.
When everyone is seated, Mrs Ro marks the roll, and when she's satisfied that all of her students are here, she walks to the door and opens it with her other arm in the air.
I expect her to say something like, "Be free children! Be free!"
But probably not.
"I've booked the computer room for the class to continue with their geography assessment", she tells us. "If you haven't brought your supplies, that's okay, because you can just do research for the information boxes on the landscapes"
I nod in understanding, along with a few other students in my class, whereas Jungkook throws his head back and groans.
Mrs Ro puts her hand on her hip. "Mr Jeon, would you like to add any comments? If yes, I suggest you comment as much as you like in detention after school, not during my wonderful geography classes"
Jungkook shrugs.
My eyes widen because, if he does get detention, Mrs Ro might make him stay for longer (obviously because he is Jeon Jungkook) and then he won't be able to go to dinner with Eunha.
My arm shoots up.
Mrs Ro turns her stare away from Jungkook and looks at me, suddenly beaming.
"Yes Mijin?"
"There's no need to give detention to Jungkook", I say to her quickly. "He was only groaning and reacting like he was before because he was sick yesterday"
Jungkook instantly looks at me and whispers, "I'm not sick anymor-"
I step on his foot.
"Ow!"
I glare at him as he glares back at me.
Mrs Ro notices our little weird chat and walks towards our desk.
"Is this true, Jungkook? You're still recovering from being sick? According to Mijin, of course", she asks, directing her question at him, but glancing at me from time to time.
I step on his foot again, but less harder than last time.
"Yes Miss", he mutters. "Sorry about that. It won't happen again"
